Just a nine-game slate this week with the holiday schedule, but we've got some fantastic matchups to exploit and our DFS lineup builds should be pretty straightforward this week. The holiday schedule has shifted some of our stuff around, but fear not – the Fantasy Alarm team will have all the NFL Week 17 DFS content updated so that you have everything you need to dominate. What you are looking at in this article, is the NFL DFS Week 17 Watch List which covers NFL DFS Week 17 picks for the main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. You can, obviously use it on other DFS sites as well, but their pricing won’t be listed. Not the end of the world and, typically, good bargains are similar from site to site, but just to be aware.

If you have been a longtime Fantasy Alarm subscriber, then you know what this DFS Watch List is all about. If not, allow me to properly introduce it using my favorite adage:

Give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime.

We take this to heart when it comes to playing NFL DFS. The Fantasy Alarm DFS Playbook isn’t just about handing you a list of players and a lineup to use each week. It is designed to help you learn to be a better DFS player. It’s about teaching you the process used in selecting which players to scout and, eventually, which ones to use.

Therefore, we will begin each week with this Weekly NFL DFS Watch List which is designed to keep tabs on marquee names, chalk plays and, of course, the weekly bargains who may not see the same coverage and exposure. This piece will be continuously updated throughout the week, as necessary based on the most recent news and injuries which means you may see a name or two removed as we get closer to kick-off. Obviously, with the altered schedule, you may not see many updates, but I'll definitely be swinging through again on Friday should anything change. Otherwise, all finalized player lists will come in the Playbook.

 

 

Before we get to the NFL DFS Week 17 picks, I always like to present to you the optimal lineups that could have been build just using the DFS Playbook and Dart Board. 

Another strong week for the Playbook as we nailed a number of top plays. Bijan Robinson and James Cook were no-brainers and both Chris Olave and Courtland Sutton were two of my favorite WRs. The examples used pay-downs at QB in Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew so we could get Amon-Ra St. Brown and/or Jahmyr Gibbs into those lineups, but the real hit came in my lineups that used Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert. Not being able to afford the big names from the Detroit Lions/Pittsburgh Steelers game was a blessing in disguise as Olave and Sutton were heavily leaned on. The DFS bargain of the week, though, was Kenneth Gainwell. That 45-yard TD catch was huge and his use in our lineups allowed us  some strong, high-priced guys.

Now it's time to look ahead and see if we can't tear up this nine-game main slate on Sunday. Let's get to it.
