Best NFL Survivor Pool Strategy & Picks For Week 14: Eagles, Bengals, More
Who’s ready for NFL Week 14? The season is slowly ticking down, survivor pool picks are getting more and more tenuous, but we’re doing well here with the best survivor pool strategy. If you’re still alive, you have to be getting excited.
Those who are playing in Circa Survivor and are part of the Final 52 are now working their own survivor pool strategy as the Christmas holiday will be run the same way Thanksgiving was done. They have two slates to worry about in Week 17 and that one might be troubling based on the games and matchups. Those in regular survivor pools don’t have as much concern, but with the way the season has gone, every week is a sweat.
Last week, we nailed all six of our offered survivor pool picks. We hit on Kansas City, Green Bay and Detroit for the Thanksgiving/Black Friday slate and then on Sunday, we hit with the Buccaneers, Bills and Texans. We definitely had to sweat some of them out, though, as the Raiders put up a scary fight against the Chiefs, Carolina took Tampa Bay to overtime and the Texans almost blew it against the Jaguars.
But a win is a win and we’re just happy to be moving on. Let’s dive into the best survivor pool strategy for Week 14 and start making picks.
Best NFL Survivor Pool Strategy For 2024 NFL Week 14
If you’re in Circa Survivor, then my suggestion for the best survivor pool strategy is to set up a few of your favorite survivor pool picks for this week first and then compare them to the Christmas Day matchups.
If you have multiple teams available for that slate and they jibe with this week, then we’ll rank the favorites. If you’re in a regular survivor pool, let’s go through the list of games, cite the home teams, the biggest favorites and check the money lines. We have six teams on a bye so it whittles down the options, but there are some favorable matchups that fit our usual criteria we can exploit.
Time to make those NFL Week 14 survivor pool picks!
NFL Survivor Pool Picks For Week 14
Philadelphia Eagles (-12.5 Home Favorite; -700 Money Line)
While the Panthers have been playing better football and Bryce Young has finally shown some promise, it is very difficult to imagine them beating the Eagles at home. Saquon Barkley running up against the worst run defense in the league? Jalen Hurts slinging the rock to A.J. Brown and a returning DeVonta Smith?
The Eagles are in a strong battle with both the Lions and Vikings for the No. 1 seed and grabbing a quick win here puts all the pressure on the NFC North teams who are all going to be facing each other in the final weeks of the season. Fly Eagles fly.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-6.5 Home Favorite; -300 Money Line)
The Raiders put up a tough fight against the Chiefs, but the two division rivals have seen enough of each other to understand they will always play each other tough.
Now you have a 2-10 Raiders team traveling down to Tampa to face a Bucs team fighting for the NFC South title and a spot in the playoffs. The rushing attack for Tampa should take center-stage early and allow the passing game to open up naturally for Baker Mayfield.
Cincinnati Bengals (-5.5 Road Favorite; -250 Money Line)
It’s a tough one to trust as the 4-8 Bengals have made things very difficult for survivor pools all season long. But they are still technically in the hunt for a wild card spot, and they know they need to run the table if they want in.
Dallas is a lost cause right now. They just don’t have the firepower to keep pace with Joe Burrow and Company so even if the Cincinnati defense is soft, it’s not soft enough for Dallas to pull out the win.
Best of luck in Week 14 and I’ll see you for more survivor pool picks and the best survivor pool strategy in Week 15!
