We play in incredibly deep leagues and crazy formats, like the Scott Fish Bowl. We can’t help it. So we need to go DEEPER than just the basics. And that’s where the waiver wire streamers and stashes article comes in.

Here we get to the next layer of the waiver wire. We hit those “break glass in case of emergency” streamers for a desperate lineup decision. And we cover those deep sleeper stashes to hold with only a hope and a prayer. As deep as you want to go, we will go. 

Best Fantasy Football Streamers and Stashes For Week 4

What is a Streamer?

A streamer is a player that you can actually start in your lineup currently. They might not be the flashiest players, but they won’t get you a zero. In deeper leagues with a lot of starting spots, you may need to call on them from time to time - especially when bye weeks and injuries come around.

What is a Stash?

The stashes are players that have appealing upside for one reason or another but aren’t reliable guys you can start now. Maybe they are injured, and you can put them in an IR spot. Maybe they are handcuffs that could have big upside if the starter gets hurt. Maybe they are rookies that need time to develop and carve out a role. Whatever it is, we want to keep an eye on them. And stash them on deep benches. 

 

 

 

NFL Week 4 Quarterback Streamers

Deshaun Watson - Cleveland Browns, Yahoo: 7% | ESPN: 8% | Sleeper: 12% 

Folks don’t really want to admit it, but Deshaun Watson has actually been pretty good, especially over the last two weeks. Even more important for fantasy, He’s been running quite a bit, and it’s not an accident. He’s tied with Josh Allen for the league lead in designed runs. He’s currently the QB10 in fantasy with a decent matchup this week, so it’s not crazy.

Marcus Mariota - Washington Commanders, Yahoo: 3% | ESPN: 4% | Sleeper: 10% 

I’m not quite sure how elbows work, but Jayden Daniels somehow has a chance to play this week. If he doesn’t, Mariota is a decent stream this week against the Colts. Not only did he throw three TD passes last week, but he ran five times. If Daniels does play, Daniel Jones is a sneaky play coming back the other way too.

NFL Week 4 Quarterback Stashes

Malik Willis - Miami Dolphins, Yahoo: 31% | ESPN: 21% | Sleeper: 30% 

Nine rushes for Malik Willis this week is what keeps us interested. Unfortunately, he continues to lose weapons here, as he just lost De’Von Achane. But for a one-week spot start for bye weeks or injuries, we like these mobile guys.

Michael Penix Jr - Atlanta Falcons, Yahoo: 3% | ESPN: 2% | Sleeper: 6%   

Penix was a stash for us last week, so after his performance on Thursday Night Football, why wouldn’t we keep holding? The Falcons actually looked like a real NFL team there.

NFL Week 4 Running Back Streamers

Keaton Mitchell, Los Angeles Chargers - Yahoo: 32% | ESPN: 22% | Sleeper: 36%

Mike McDaniel made it clear that he likes Keaton Mitchell’s playstyle for his scheme this offseason. And the 0-3 Chargers have been pretty desperate to change things up. That has resulted in Keaton Mitchell getting rotated in with Omarion Hampton lately in his return from injury. The explosive Mitchell has become an interesting spot start as a result.

Kendre Miller, New Orleans Saints - Yahoo: 1% | ESPN: 3% | Sleeper: 12%

Kamara returned in Week Two and continued the split that Kendre Miller started in Week One. In fact, Kamara got 15 touches to 10 for Travis Etienne, so it seems like Kamara could be on the weekly streaming radar, especially in PPR leagues, as he got 6 targets. 

Ty Johnson, Buffalo Bills - Yahoo: 0% | ESPN: 0% | Sleeper: 3%

The main article is full of plenty of guys who are picking up snaps due to injury. If you miss out on all of that, this is a grimy play you can consider in full PPR leagues. Ty Johnson returned and resumed his job as the Bills' pass-down back, which includes two-minute drill duties. That almost always has him involved in the pass game in some capacity.

Emanuel Wilson, Seattle Seahawks, Yahoo: 23% | ESPN: 18% | Sleeper: 47%

Emanuel Wilson was in this article last week because his usage was increasing. The snaps this week for the Seahawks saw 24 snaps for Emmanuel Wilson, 24 for George Holani, and 19 for Jadarian Price. And Wilson led the team in carries. So he’s still on the deep streaming 

NFL Week 4 Running Back Stashes

Emmett Johnson, Kansas City Chiefs, Yahoo: 27% | ESPN: 16% | Sleeper: 35%

This guy will likely continue to be the top stash for us moving forward. We’ve seen Kenneth Walker get a high level of work. And we’ve seen Emmett Johnson look both shifty and explosive when he gets a shot. Johnson is one of the top handcuffs for one of the top backs, so we’ll let you know if anything changes. 

Najee Harris, New York Giants, Yahoo: 4% | ESPN: 6% | Sleeper: 7%

Najee Harris is not a guy you can start right now. But he did show us this week that he still has some juice. Maybe enough to potentially be a spot start for bye weeks. But the real upside comes with the playstyle and injury history that comes with Cam Skattebo. That would unlock Harris in a big way.

Tyler Goodson, Dallas Cowboys, Yahoo: 0% | ESPN: 0% | Sleeper: 0%

The Cowboys are doing tryouts for this backup RB spot. Now it’s Tyler Goodson’s turn. Given the usage for Javonte Williams and the quality of offense, anyone who is the handcuff in Dallas is worth a look. 

IR Spot Special: Isiah Pacheco, Detroit Lions

Given the way this season is going, you might not have IR spots available. If you do have a free one, you might as well throw Pacheco in there. He won’t be Jahmyr Gibbs if Jahmyr Gibbs goes down, but it’s still the Detroit Lions. 

NFL Week 4 Wide Receiver Streamers

Jauan Jennings - Minnesota Vikings, Yahoo: 5% | ESPN: 5% | Sleeper: 14%

This one is obviously contingent on Justin Jefferson missing this week with the ankle injury, but if that happens, Jennings all of a sudden becomes a full-time player and a decent stream vs. the Dolphins. 

Keenan Allen - Indianapolis Colts, Yahoo 22% | ESPN: 24% | Sleeper: 19%

We mentioned it in the main article, but he’s rostered in under 30% of leagues, so we’ll mention it here - barring a miraculous rise of Darius Slayton, Keenan Allen should be a decent stream until Alec Pierce gets back. 

Malik Washington - Miami Dolphins, Yahoo 20% | ESPN: 13% | Sleeper: 25%

There’s a battle going on between rookies Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell (we like Bell, especially with Douglas nicked up). But Malik Washington has pretty consistently led the Dolphins in routes run. So he’s not a bad streaming option. 

Mack Hollins - New England Patriots, Yahoo 16% | ESPN: 5% | Sleeper: 13%

Jauan Jennings is fairly low-owned, but we need another deep cut for the sickos. It hasn’t been great, but Mack Hollins is clearly doing his best to play the AJ Brown role. And, with that, he’s getting the high-leverage looks, which include some red zone stuff. So Hollins is a deep weekly dart.  

 

 

 

NFL Week 4 Wide Receiver Stashes

Darius Slayton - Indianapolis Colts, Yahoo: 4% | ESPN: 1% | Sleeper: 9%

This injury for Alec Pierce does not sound great, especially with them bringing in Slayton. He has a history with Daniel Jones but needs to get up to speed, so we’ll throw him on some benches. 

Malachi Fields - New York Giants, Yahoo: 3% | ESPN: % | Sleeper: 9%

Fields is still a stash for us, with hopes that Jameis Winston looks better in better-weather games. The switch to JJ McCarthy might not be great for Fields, though, if that ever happens. 

Tyreek Hill - Free Agent, Yahoo: 5% | ESPN: 7% | Sleeper: 24%

Tyreek Hill has posted videos of him looking fast and also tweeted that it’s time for him to “get to work”. There have been rumors of a reunion with the Chiefs, but teams get desperate, and I bet you he gets signed somewhere. It’s worth mentioning that he’s listed as OUT on ESPN, so you can quietly put him in an IR spot in some leagues over there. On Yahoo and Sleeper, you need to use a bench spot. 

IR Spot Special: Ja’Kobi Lane - Baltimore Ravens, Yahoo: 19% | ESPN: 18% | Sleeper: %

If you have the spot, might as well throw him in there. This is a broken bone rather than a high ankle sprain or something, so when he’s healed, he should be good to go. 

NFL Week 4 Tight End Streamers

Darren Waller - Carolina Panthers, Yahoo: 3% | ESPN: 3% | Sleeper: 9%

Darren Waller was already a stream for us. Now he gets the Lions, who have been by far the worst team in the league against the tight end, with both their starting safeties on IR. Waller is a smash spot in DFS and square on the streaming radar.

Brenton Strange - Jacksonville Jaguars Yahoo: 13% | ESPN: 22% | Sleeper: 20%

We don’t typically love Brenton Strange. But we love starting tight ends against the Bengals, who have been absolutely miserable at covering them. So Strange is on the streaming radar here. The Bengals are still a bottom-five team against the TE, without any of those TEs scoring TDs, which speaks to the floor against them.

NFL Week 4 Tight End Stashes

Kenyon Sadiq - New York Jets, Yahoo: 15% | ESPN: 41% | Sleeper: 38%

Kenyon Sadiq went from our top stash to a start overnight. This is the last time he will be mentioned in this article because he is a priority add now.

Greg Dulcich - Miami Dolphins, Yahoo: 7% | ESPN: 5% | Sleeper: 15%

Dulcich has quietly gotten a route participation above 70% in a couple of these games. And this week he came out and had 7+ targets. I’ve already been stashing him in a couple of leagues, but it needs to be mentioned before people take notice.
