Trey Benson Sleeper Pick: More than 34.5 Rushing Yards 

The Carolina Panthers had a bad run defense last year and then in Week 1 we saw Travis Etienne torch them for 143 yards which indicates to me that the Panthers may once again have a problem stopping the run.

In Week 1 we saw Benson have eight carries against the Saints and finish with 69 yards which included a 52 yard run.

Yes, one run of 52 yards and seven other runs for 17 yards isn't ideal BUT it gets the job done when it comes to us looking for the over on his rushing yards total.

Benson can be a big play back, he is expected to see an increased workload this season and if you are telling me that we can expect eight carries from Benson in this matchup against the Panthers I am feeling pretty confident in his ability to go over the 34.5 rushing yard.

 

 

Michael Pittman Sleeper Pick: Less than 44.5 Receiving Yards

So, top WR's that have to go up against Patrick Surtain don't often have a good time. In fact, I've seen it called “Surtain Death” when it comes to describing how to look at these matchups for opposing top wide receivers. 

Surtain was the 2024 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He's only been in the league since 2021 and is already a 2x First-team All-Pro.

Last week we saw Calvin Ridley held to four catches for 27 yards.

Odds are just not in Pittman's favor this week, despite his strong Week 1 performance and therefore we are going with the under 44.5 receiving yards.
