**Please note that players not listed below are not necessarily a complete fade and any player listed can certainly be used as the MVP/Captain. These are merely suggestions for players to use when setting Showdown lineups.
MVP/Captain
Najee Harris, RB – This is going to be the chalk play of the night with the Seahawks ranking 17th in DVOA against the run but also 28th in DVOA against the pass. Harris is a key contributor to both aspects of the Steelers offense, totaling 307 yards rushing while adding 21 receptions for 198 yards.
Diontae Johnson, WR – Johnson had just two receptions last week but he also finished with 72 yards and a touchdown. He is generally a lock for double-digit targets as Ben Roethlisberger’s top receiving option and this is an elite matchup for Johnson against this awful Seahawks secondary.
DK Metcalf, WR – Geno Smith entered last week’s game and was locked in on Metcalf which is hopefully a sign of things to come this week against a Steelers defense that ranks 24th in DVOA against the pass this season. Metcalf finished last week with five receptions for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
Mid-Tier
Chase Claypool, WR - Claypool has started putting together some huge game for the Steelers, and he capped it off last week with 130 yards and a touchdown against the Broncos. He is the downfield threat for when Big Ben needs to launch one and this is a defense that has been beaten downfield all season long.
Alex Collins, RB – Not a great matchup to run the football in given the Steelers defense ranking 6th against the run per DVOA. Collins is a capable pass catcher so we may get some PPR work here. At the very least, there are few options behind Collins to take away carries and if the Seahawks get in the red zone he should get the work.
Tyler Lockett, WR – While we are loving Metcalf tonight, Lockett is a bit more of a risk. Over the last three weeks Lockett has totaled just 112 receiving yards. He did see 10 targets last week so if the Seahawks have to play from behind the volume could be there.
Steelers D/ST – The Steelers defense hasn’t been great this season but facing Geno Smith in prime time could be the cure all for that. On the season they have 10 sacks with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Dart Throws
James Washington, WR – Washington could be the one who sees increased snaps with JuJu out of the lineup. He missed last week due to injury but had 10 targets between Week 3 and Week 4. He is a decent big play type receive so maybe Roethlisberger will take a few shots here.
Kickers – Lumping both kickers here because I think both are in play. Both of these offenses could tend to stall out tonight, especially the Seahawks with Geno Smith under center. Good way to get cheap points on showdown slates.
Gerald Everett, TE – Everett was activated off the Covid-19 list and will be active tonight. With Geno Smith starting tonight there is a chance the playbook is a bit simplified which could mean good things for Everett as a safety net for Smith. Before going on IR, Everett had his best game of the season, catching five passes for 54 yards.
DeeJay Dallas, RB – If you want a PPR option for tonight Dallas could be the guy. He saw action for the first time since Week 1 last week and caught both his targets for 32 yards while adding four rushes for seven yards.
