NFL DFS Week 6 QB Coach: Matthew Stafford, Baker Mayfield, Drake Maye
Week 6 brings the NFL's bye weeks for the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings, which removes C.J. Stroud and Carson Wentz from our player pool.
We also see the Eagles, Giants, Broncos, Jets, Lions, Chiefs, Bills, Falcons, Bears, and Commanders all playing prime-time games, which knocks off Jalen Hurts, Bo Nix, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, and others.
The smaller main slate requires adjustments. Below are the top QBs to target as lineup anchors, ranked by projected upside for GPPs and cash games.
NFL DFS Week 6 QB Coach for FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy

NFL DFS QB Top Tier Picks for Week 6
Matthew Stafford, QB Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel:$7,700
I’m expecting Stafford to be the highest rostered QB on the slate as the Rams take on the Baltimore Ravens.Â
This is a Ravens defense that has allowed four passing touchdowns to their opponent in back-to-back weeks, with Patrick Mahomes and C.J. Stroud lighting them up.Â
They now have to deal with Stafford, who gets to throw the football to the league's top WR in Puka Nacua and red zone merchant Davante Adams.
No-brainer play in all formats.
Justin Herbert, QB Los Angeles Chargers - DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel: $8,500
Another not-so-special performance from Herbert last week as the Chargers were crushed at home by the Commanders 27-10. Herbert, in this game, only threw for 166 yards with one touchdown and one interception, but did add 60 yards rushing thanks to a 41-yard scramble.
This week, the Chargers are on the road, but they face a Dolphins defense that is among the worst in football and one that just lost to the Carolina Panthers.
With Omarion Hampton now on the IR, I’m expecting a pass-heavy approach out of this Chargers offense this week, as it’s unlikely Kimani Vidal or Hassan Haskins is going to get a heavy carry workload.
Baker Mayfield, QB Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DraftKings: $6,600 | FanDuel: $8,200
It doesn’t really seem to matter who the opponent is or who Baker Mayfield is throwing the football to because this dude is just nails.
In Week 5, he was without his top running back in Bucky Irving and was still missing Mike Evans while having to go on the road in Seattle against a tough defense, and all Baker did was go out and throw for 379 yards and two touchdowns.
A home matchup against the 49ers awaits this week, but I’m done saying he has a tough matchup because that just might not exist with him.

NFL DFS QB Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Week 6
Jordan Love, QB Green Bay Packers - DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel:$8,300
Big price discrepancy here between DraftKings and FanDuel, where Love is the third-highest priced QB on FanDuel and just the sixth-highest on DraftKings.
The Packers have a great matchup, at home, against the Cincinnati Bengals this week, and while Josh Jacobs figures to get plenty of DFS love this week, I can see loving some Love in my lineups as well.
The issue with Love is figuring out which wide receiver to use in your stacks with him, as the team really still doesn’t have a true number one WR and may be adding Christian Watson back into the fold as early as this week.
Drake Maye, QB New England Patriots - DraftKings: $5,900 | FanDuel: $7,800
Maye did everything but throw a touchdown in the Patriots' upset win over the Buffalo Bills, where he completed 73.3% of his passes for 273 yards with no touchdowns and, more importantly, no turnovers.
In Week 6, the Patriots head to New Orleans to face a Saints team that hasn’t been all too impressive this season, and with how Maye is clicking with Stefon Diggs and Hunter Henry, I’d be willing to bet he finds the end zone this week a handful of times.
Mac Jones, QB San Francisco 49ers - DraftKings: $5,600 | FanDuel: $7,500
From the current Patriots QB to the former, we have Mac Jones, who is looking likely to play in place of the injured Brock Purdy again this week, and he’s hard to ignore.
Jones has thrived in this offense and is coming off a game where he threw for 342 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams on the road.
The Buccaneers' defense has not been good, which has forced Baker Mayfield into a ton of shootouts and come-from-behind wins. In turn, this should also present a great opportunity for Mac Jones to step back and sling it like he’s done in his three starts this season.

NFL Week 6 DFS QB Value Picks
Sam Darnold, QB Seattle Seahawks - DraftKings: $5,100 | FanDuel: $7,400
Darnold exploded for 341 yards and four touchdowns against the Buccaneers last week, both season-high totals for the Seattle QB.Â
In Week 6, the Seahawks are on the road and taking on a Jaguars team that did make some plays in their win over the Chiefs on Monday Night Football, so they may be improving, but for now, as a value play, I’d be OK taking a dart on Darnold.
Bryce Young, QB Carolina Panthers - DraftKings: $4,800 | FanDuel: $7,000
I get that he hasn’t been good, and the Panthers are also not a good team, but we did just see them beat the Dolphins at home. They also beat the Falcons at home, and they are playing at home this week, so maybe that just ends up being the trend for them this season, with all three losses coming on the road.
Young did have 198 yards and two touchdowns last week, and he has a 328-yard and three-touchdown game already this season, so the upside could certainly be there against the Cowboys this weekend.
Joe Flacco, QB Cincinnati Bengals - DraftKings: $4,000 | FanDuel: $6,300
Joe Flacco was acquired earlier this week by the Bengals and has already been announced as the team's starting QB for Sunday’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
No, this isn’t the most ideal situation for Flacco, but I will say he has much better pass catchers in Cincinnati than he had in Cleveland, and maybe that’s just enough for min-price QB to pay off his price tag here in Week 6.

NFL DFS QB Fades for Week 6
Dak Prescott, QB Dallas Cowboys - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $8,000
I really do like the Cowboys, but the way we’ve always attacked the Panthers is on the ground, and Javonte Williams is running the ball really well right now.
Jaycee Horn is going to be matched up against George Pickens, and while Jake Ferguson is going to get his share of targets, I just don’t think Prescott is worth paying the price tag to get him in our lineups this week.
