Week 17 of the NFL season is here and we have a loaded 13 games here for the DraftKings and FanDuel main slate featuring top QB's in Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson at the top of the pricing tier. While the big names are at the top, there are plenty of elite mid-tier and value plays on this slate given the size of the player pool so let's dive into the top NFL DFS QB's for Week 17.

Be sure to check out the rest of the NFL DFS Coaches and DFS Watch List throughout the week!

NFL DFS QB Top Tier Picks

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

The “tush push” alone makes Hurts an elite QB play week-in-week-out as his 15 rushing touchdowns has tied the single season QB rushing TD record which was set by Cam Newton and against the Arizona Cardinals this weekend I suspect he will break that record. Hurts is one of the few QB's that you can play “naked” as we like to say where you don't need to stack him with an Eagles wide receiver for him to be in the optimal lineup.

Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

This can obviously go one of two ways. The first being that we watch Christian McCaffrey run all over this Commanders defense just like we saw Breece Hall do last week.  The second, and the one I hope we get is that Brock Purdy makes up for his abysmal performance in Week 16 by throwing all over one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL where he an Deebo Samuel break the slate. I know the risks but I'm will to build some core lineup builds around Purdy this weekend.

NFL DFS QB Mid-Tier Picks

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

He's the cover the QB Coach this week so you knew we were going to see him. Stafford has been a DFS star of late, posting four weeks of 22+ fantasy points over the last five while totaling 14 touchdowns with just one interceptions during that span. This week he faces a Giants secondary that is susceptible to giving up big plays and they will have their hands full this week covering Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.

Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker has been a staple of the QB Coach this season and while that feels odd to say given my history with the player we also have to be slaves to the scoreboard here and right now the scoreboard says that Mayfield has thrown 26 touchdowns this season and 18 of those have come at home where he is averaging 20 fantasy points per game. Mayfield has thrown eight touchdowns over the past three weeks with zero interceptions and has a good matchup against the Saints whom he threw three touchdowns against back in Week 4.

NFL DFS QB Value Picks

Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints

Should be a fun matchup here against the Buccaneers whose secondary is also having their own issues due to injuries. Carr has thrown six touchdowns over the past two weeks and has been heavily targeting star receiver Chris Olave which great success and that should continue here this week in what looks to be a back and forth matchup.

Jarrett Stidham, Denver Broncos

Sure why not. Last year Stidham filled in for Derek Carr at the end of the season and had a game where he threw for 365 yards and three touchdowns. He could be without top receiver Courtland Sutton this week but the matchup against the Chargers defense is one that we've seen QB's take advantage of this season. If you want a punt play to pair up with Jerry Jeudy this week against the Chargers this is the spot.

NFL DFS QB Fade

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

I know the Bills offense is rolling but the Patriots defense has been pretty good and the Patriots generally do pretty well against the teams in their own division when it comes to limiting elite overall production. Yes, Allen had 26 FP in their first meeting but at his price tag this week I feel like there are better options here.
