Wild card weekend was just that, wild! We saw the Dallas Cowboys get upset by the Green Bay Packers. We witnessed the continued collapse of the Philadelphia Eagles as they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and we saw rookie C.J. Stroud lead his team to a playoff victory. We also saw some of the “old guard” move on with the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills advance in their matchups. With the Divisional Rounds here we have the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers on the slate after earning byes in round one.  Lets take a look at this week's top QB plays.

NFL DFS QB Wild Card Weekend Top Tier Picks

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

What more can be said about Allen right now? Last week against the Steelers he completed 70% of his passes and threw three touchdowns while adding 74 yards rushing and another score. Allen had 15 rushing touchdowns during the regular season while throwing for 4,500 yards and 32 scores. He IS the Bills offense and he will be a handful for the Chiefs defense to deal with. In their matchup earlier this year Buffalo pulled off a 20-17 road win where Allen had two total touchdowns and finished with over 20 fantasy points.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are big 9.5-point favorites here this week as the top seed, welcoming in the upstart Houston Texans with their rookie head coach and rookie QB. The Texans defense has been pretty good down the stretch so I do have some hesitations here with Jackson but his mobility does bring some upside here for Lamar. I like him over Patrick Mahomes this week when it comes to spend up plays.

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

Goff completed 81% of his passes last week against the Rams, throwing for 277 yards and a touchdown. This week they Lions have another home matchup and this time against a Buccaneers defense that had struggled against the pass this season. A healthy Sam LaPorta  is a plus for this Lions offense and Amon-Ra St.Brown continues to be an elite option. The Buccaneers have a decent run defense so we could see the Lions passing attack take center stage in this spot.

Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

I know it feels like a big ask here of Jordan Love to take on the 49ers defense but we've been able to throw the football against San Francisco this season and the Packers passing offense is really having a good amount of success right now. Love just completed 76% of his throws for 272 yads and three touchdowns against the Cowboys last week and has 12  touchdowns with zero interceptions over his last five games.

Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I'm honestly shocked that Mayfield is the cheapest of the starting QB's this week after he threw for 337 yards and three touchdowns against the Eagles last week. The Lions do not have a good pass defense and will have their hands full with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin here this week. Mayfield had an incredible first year in Tampa Bay, throwing for 4,381 yards and 31 touchdowns and I'd be willing to bet he has another strong performance here this week.
