Vikings vs. Seahawks Predictions for NFL Week 13, Sunday 11/30

Had this matchup been about a month into the season, there would be hope for both fan bases in terms of this being a potential NFC Championship Game. Well, much has changed, much to the chagrin of fans in Minnesota. There are major questions surrounding JJ McCarthy, so unsurprisingly, the Vikings vs. Seahawks odds massively favor Seattle at home

We, too, expect a victory for Mike Macdonald’s guys, but we also don’t exactly love double-digit point spreads in the NFL. If anything, we’d back Minnesota keeping things within 10 points, but with how Jaxon Smith-Njigba can single-handedly take over a game, we aren’t going to make that the focus of our Vikings vs. Seahawks predictions either.

He’s on pace for the NFL’s first-ever 2,000-yard receiving season, and with this being a Sam Darnold revenge game, expect him to get fed early and often. Unlike other “revenge” games where there may be no actual bitterness, the Vikings let Sam Darnold walk despite leading them to a remarkable 14-2 campaign last year.

The Darnold dud in the playoffs last season can’t be ignored, but he has undoubtedly been far superior to JJ McCarthy this year. So, let’s find out if the best bet from our Vikings vs. Seahawks predictions targets either QB on Sunday.

Vikings vs. Seahawks Best Bet: Kenneth Walker Anytime TD (+100 at Rebet)

Not only is this a Sam Darnold revenge game, but it’s also a rematch of last season. That means that Darnold was wearing the purple when these teams met just prior to Christmas, and he defeated his current Seattle team 27-24 thanks to three passing TDs and no INTs. As you’d expect, JSN still had a great game.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba went for 95 yards and a touchdown, but Justin Jefferson went for 144 yards with 10 receptions and two scores. We know that it’s going to be tough to back him with any Vikings vs. Seahawks predictions, as JJ McCarthy threw for just a measly 87 yards last Sunday. At least 48 of them went to Justin Jefferson.

JJ McCarthy has also entered concussion protocol due to symptoms after Sunday's game, and with Seattle having the NFL’s second-best defensive EPA per rush, the Vikings are already at a disadvantage given their poor QB play. Even still, Minnesota is likely going to lean on the RB duo with how their passing game has looked.

Even with that being the expectation, the even split between Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason has us also avoiding that with our Vikings vs. Seahawks predictions. Having worked through all that, the Minnesota offense just isn’t it. Instead, we’ve got Seattle RB Kenneth Walker finding the endzone.

Sure, he splits with Zach Charbonnet himself but got the bulk of the carries once again with 11, going for 71 yards in the process. His partner in crime found the painted grass this past Sunday, but after KW3 averaged 6.5 yards per carry, it’s time to let him do the same. After all, Minnesota allows the ninth-most rushing yards per game but the seventh-fewest passing yards per game.

That means that the ground game is where to attack them, so we’ll make Kenneth Walker anytime TD (+100 at Rebet) as the best bet from our Vikings vs. Seahawks predictions.
