Welcome to our NFL Week 15 Picks Straight Up! We are finally in crunch time. Fantasy football playoffs begin for most people this week, the NFL playoff picture is looking messy, and we are starting to see some games played in “football weather.” Now that all the bye weeks have concluded and plenty of divisional games are still to be played, things are really getting interesting.

So without further ado, it is time to bring you our expert NFL Week 15 Picks Straight Up. Below, you will find my picks, some highlighted matchups, and the odds and spreads for every game this week.

 

 

 

NFL Week 15 Picks Straight Up & Odds For All 16 Games

With Week 15 here, we have some great matchups on paper, and we are finally through all the bye weeks, so we get to see all 32 teams play! In the following section, you will find my predictions, with the teams I anticipate coming away with a victory highlighted in bold. Odds are courtesy of BetMGM:

 

 

 

NFL Week 15 Picks Straight Up: Carolina Panthers ML (-142 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Carolina Panthers are shocking a lot of people and find themselves still in the playoff hunt in December. Sitting at 7-6 in a very competitive NFC South, this game is as close to “must-win” as it gets. Last time these two teams met up, it was a 17-7 snoozefest that ended up as a Saints upset victory. This time around, I do not see it going even remotely the same way.

The Panthers' method of winning is fairly simple: ball-control football. Establish the run and slow down your run game. Along with some opportunistic turnovers and the occasional super-Bryce Young game (against the Falcons), this is essentially how they have won every single one of their matchups this season. With a one-game sample size of these two teams matching up, though, and that game not going this way, why do I think the script will flip for the Panthers? Well, it's quite simple, really; Chuba Hubbard has got his mojo back.

While that might sound silly, the Panthers now being able to roll out a two-headed rushing attack is huge for their run game heading into December. In their last game, just before their bye week, they were able to upset the Panthers on the backs of Hubbard and his 124 total yards and Dowdle and his 79 total yards. While those numbers aren't exactly eye-popping, they allowed the Panthers to control the pace of the game, hold the ball longer, and ultimately upset the number one team in the NFC: The Los Angeles Rams. 

Now going against the Saints, who will once again likely be without their number one running back, Alvin Kamara, and I feel like a lot has swung in the favor of the Panthers this time around. Well rested, in a must-win game, give me the Panthers to come away with a fairly convincing win here.

 

 

 

NFL Week 15 Picks Straight Up: New England Patriots ML (+100 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

We are going with yet another divisional matchup, favoring another team coming off their bye. In their first matchup, the New England Patriots were able to march into Buffalo and walk away with a statement three-point win. Now, looking to lock up their division, they get to host the Bills on their turf, and I am expecting another win here.

Stefon Diggs was unstoppable the last time these two teams faced off, with 146 yards on ten receptions. While I would assume the Bills are gameplanning for him this time around, I think it is inevitable that he has another monster performance. Stefon Diggs has done his best work against two-high shells, which Buffalo typically rolls out on defense. Additionally, the Bills have recently struggled against receivers out of the slot. Guess how Diggs has produced the most for the Patriots this year? You guessed it! Out of the slot!

With this big mismatch, along with the “revenge game” narrative, and the fact that the Pats are getting healthier out of their bye week while the Bills are crossing their fingers that key defenders like Joey Bosa and Terrel Bernard will be healthy for this game, I have to lean the Patriots to sweep the series this season.
