There are already a handful of teams eliminated from playoff positioning, but let's see if they can cover, or even better, win outright and play spoiler in such a tight NFL playoff race!

NFL Week 15 Picks Against The Spread + NFL Week 15 Schedule Predictions

For the NFL Week 15 Schedule, we have all 32 teams playing in 16 games. Finally, we have made it through all of the bye weeks and have 16 games a week until the NFL playoffs begin! NFL Week 15 Picks Against The Spread: Seattle Seahawks -13.5 (-113 at Caesars Sportsbook)

I love the storyline of Philip Rivers coming out of retirement to play for the Colts. Rivers is an absolute legend, and he was a Hall-of-Fame semifinalist for a reason, but he has not played in five years. Even he knows how big a challenge this is. I do not have a doubt in my mind that he is ready mentally for a game, but physically, I know he is not in NFL shape. He joked that he has no clue what he weighs now. In comparison, five years after retirement, Hall-of-Fame tackle Joe Thomas was 70lbs lighter. Players are not treating their bodies the same when they are playing versus when they retire. 

Now, either the Colts will be sending him out against one of the best defenses in the NFL, which is finally at full health, or they will be relying on an injured mid-round rookie quarterback, Riley Leonard. Either way, it is not the best situation to be in offensively. 

On top of already being outmatched with their offense against Seattle's elite defense, the Colts will likely be without their top two corners, Sauce Gardner and Charvarius Ward, against one of the league's most explosive offenses. The Colts have been on a downward spiral since the start of November, and unfortunately, I think that continues here against one of the best teams in the NFL. 

 

 

 

NFL Week 15 Picks Against The Spread: Jacksonville Jaguars -12.5 (-125 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

You know this is a great line when DraftKings is the only sportsbook giving us -12.5 instead of -13.5. The Jaguars' defense has been a dominant unit over the past few weeks, ranked in the top five in total yards against over their past three games. Offensively, they have been clicking as well, with almost 33 points per game in that span. Now atop the AFC South, the Jaguars are looking to maintain the playoff positioning, and I do not see them wanting to keep a 3-10 team in a close game.

The Jets, while 3-10, have been a feisty team. Since their fire sale at the trade deadline, I have praised their defense, rallying around some lesser-known names and new offensive weapons like John Metchie and Adonai Mitchell stepping up. I think this Jets team has a bright future ahead… just not in this game.

The big wildcard here for New York is that they will likely be starting a third-string quarterback, Brady Cook, with both Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields banged up. Cook has zero starting experience, and when he had to step in last game against Miami, he proceeded to throw for two interceptions and under a 50% completion percentage. Now, in line to start against a much more formidable defensive unit, I do not have much faith in Cook and this Jets team coming off a 34-10 loss. Give me the Jaguars to come away with a very, very dominant victory.
