NFL Weather: Week 3 DFS Impact

Weather condition tracking is essential before finalizing main slate lineups, as winds and precipitation alter passing depth and kicking floors. We’re keeping an eye on the entire east coast, more specifically, the northeast right now. 

  • Tennessee Titans at New York Giants (MetLife Stadium): A coastal Nor'easter brings heavy sustained winds (17–18 mph with gusts reaching 40 mph) and high rain chances. Expect both offenses to lean heavily on ground games and short check-downs. 
  • Seattle Seahawks at Washington Commanders (Northwest Stadium): Moderate rain and sustained winds near 18–20 mph (gusts up to 28 mph) hit Maryland. Combined with a backup quarterback starting for Washington, passing volumes could take a hit.

You should consider this a primer for the full player pool. As you scroll further down, you will see the full list of my own personal NFL DFS Week 3 player pool. I have spent this entire week studying everything about the upcoming matchups as well as everything we've witnessed over the first two weeks of the NFL season. I have combed through our NFL DFS projections and put together a list of candidates around which I am building most, and in some cases, all of my lineups. Still, people have asked me for my favorites, as if you don't already know reading the DFS Watch List and listening to me on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio as well as the DFS Show and Alarm Fantasy Football. You know which direction I'm headed for the most part, don't you?

If you don’t already have an idea, then here is where I highlight a few from a variety of categories. One caveat – this in no way means that all of my lineups will consist of these players. Don't freak out if I post an example lineup or, even better, a lineup that cashed well, that doesn't include some of these players. Will they be in a lot of them? Absolutely. But in the time between posting this Playbook and the first Sunday kickoff, things can change. Ownership percentages can change. Weather can change. Gut feelings can change.
