Week 9 is a quiet weather week. Only Thursday night's Jaguars-Ravens game has a rain chance above 30 percent at kickoff; wind reaches 10 mph with gusts of 15 to 20 mph in just three games, and four games are indoors or have a roof. The biggest line moves this week come from quarterback injuries, not the forecast. The Jaguars-Ravens total is down 9 points after Lamar Jackson's thumb injury, and Cardinals-Seahawks is down 5 with both starting quarterbacks changed. Here is every game and what it means for your DFS builds.

Worst Weather Games in Week 9
Nothing on this slate is a serious weather threat, but a few games are worth a look.
Thursday Night: Jaguars at Ravens
Jaguars at Ravens has the highest rain chance on the board, with rain at 17 percent in the first hour and 35 to 40 percent from 9 PM on, so any rain is more likely to show up in the second half. Wind is light. The bigger story is Baltimore's quarterback room. Lamar Jackson is out with a right thumb injury that required surgery and could be season-ending, after he was hurt on his first snap back from a three-game absence. Tyler Huntley (toe) is out too, so undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano starts with a brace on his injured ankle. He finished last week's 36-10 loss at Buffalo 10-of-21 for 91 yards with an interception and a lost fumble. Baltimore has lost three straight, and kicker Tyler Loop is on injured reserve, so Jake Moody kicks. Jacksonville is 5-2 after a 42-7 rout of Indianapolis, and Trevor Lawrence has 17 touchdowns and four interceptions. The Jaguars are roughly 9-point favorites and ran for a season-best 183 yards last week, though Bhayshul Tuten (ankle and foot) missed practice early in the week and Chris Rodriguez is the next option. The total has fallen from 48.5 to 39.5.
Sunday: The Wind Games
Cardinals at Seahawks has rain at 23 percent through 6 PM and wind of 10 to 12 mph with gusts of 15 to 17 mph, though both ease late, and both offenses are in flux. Sam Darnold is out with a quad injury and rib issue, so Drew Lock starts despite an elbow problem, and he threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns in Seattle's 31-7 win over Arizona in Week 2. Seattle is 4-4 after a 34-17 loss to Chicago, and left tackle Charles Cross, defensive tackle Leonard Williams, and receiver Rashid Shaheed did not practice Wednesday. Arizona starts Gardner Minshew after benching Jacoby Brissett, who is being traded to Baltimore, and is without running back Jeremiyah Love (high ankle sprain) and receiver Kendrick Bourne (tibia), both on injured reserve. Tyler Allgeier leads the backfield. The total has dropped five points to 39.5.
Giants at Eagles have 10 mph wind with gusts of 20 mph early that ease late, and the lowest total on the slate at 38.5. New York has been starting J.J. McCarthy, and running back Cam Skattebo (hamstring) is uncertain. Philadelphia has named Joe Milton the starter over Tanner McKee with Jalen Hurts out for the season, and receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) has missed two straight games, leaving Makai Lemon as the leading receiver. Saquon Barkley was in and out of last week's loss.
Rams at Commanders starts breezy, with 12 mph sustained wind and gusts of 20 mph at noon that ease to 15 mph by 4 PM. Matthew Stafford (arm) is the question for Los Angeles, and cornerbacks Trent McDuffie (back) and Jaylen Watson (shoulder) were hurt last week. Washington lists no notable injuries, with Jayden Daniels and Stefon Diggs both back.
Best Weather Games in Week 9
Bengals at Falcons in Madrid is the most interesting game under a roof, and its 52.5 total is up three points. Joe Burrow has 20 touchdowns and six interceptions, leads the league in touchdown passes, and threw for 462 yards and five touchdowns last week. Cincinnati is 5-2, but cornerback DJ Turner II (ankle) is day-to-day. Atlanta is 3-5 after being shut out 16-0 by Tampa Bay in a game where Michael Penix threw four interceptions, and receiver Zachariah Branch (hamstring) and edge rusher Samson Ebukam (hamstring) could face multi-game absences.
The cleanest outdoor games are Jets at Chiefs, Broncos at Panthers, Raiders at 49ers, and Packers at Patriots, all dry or close to it, with only light sustained wind. Jets-Chiefs has risen four points to 47.5, and Raiders-49ers is up four to 52.5. Breece Hall (quad) has been inactive for five straight games for the Jets, while Rashee Rice returned for Kansas City with seven catches last week. For San Francisco, Christian McCaffrey (hamstring), Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, and Nick Bosa are all trying to return. Packers-Patriots have questions at receiver, with Green Bay's Christian Watson (fractured rib) and New England's A.J. Brown (knee and ankle) both uncertain. Texans at Chargers (87 degrees) and Lions at Dolphins (82 degrees) are warm but dry. Detroit is dealing with a serious injury to linebacker Jack Campbell and concussions to Brian Branch and DJ Wonnum, and Miami is without De'Von Achane. Buccaneers at Bears is a cool 49 degrees and dry.
Four games are untouched by weather. Browns-Saints and Bills-Vikings are in domes, where Kyler Murray (hamstring) is the question for Minnesota on Monday night, and Cowboys-Colts is under a retractable roof. Dallas could be without tight end Jake Ferguson and safeties Caleb Downs and P.J. Locke, and Indianapolis traded Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner last week.
Rain and Snow Impact on Fantasy Football
There is no snow this week, and rain is a minor factor. Jaguars-Ravens has the only meaningful chance, mostly in the second half, and the Cardinals-Seahawks chance is lower and fades late; light, intermittent showers rarely change play-calling. If steady rain does show up on Thursday, it would favor Jacksonville's run game and further limit a Baltimore passing game that is already short on quarterback talent. There is no need to adjust kickers or receivers for rain elsewhere.
Wind Impact on Fantasy Football
Wind is a small story, and it is mostly an early-game factor. Giants-Eagles and Rams-Commanders have gusts of 20 mph around kickoff that ease to 15 mph by 4 PM; Packers-Patriots have gusts of 18 mph early, and Cardinals-Seahawks have gusts of 17 mph early that fade to 7 mph by 7 PM. That is enough to nudge deep throws and longer field goals in the first half but not enough to change how teams play. Every other outdoor game has sustained wind of 8 mph or less, so wind should not factor into lineup decisions.
NFL Games to Avoid in DFS Because of Weather
No game is a true weather fade this week. The closest calls are below, and most of the concern is about quarterbacks, not the forecast.
- Giants at Eagles: gusts to 20 mph and the lowest total on the board, with two offenses led by J.J. McCarthy and Joe Milton.
- Cardinals at Seahawks: a 23 percent rain chance and gusts of 15 to 17 mph with Drew Lock and Gardner Minshew starting.
- Jaguars at Ravens: modest rain, but a Baltimore offense led by Joe Fagnano is a tough environment for any Ravens skill player.
- Lighter downgrade: Rams at Commanders, where gusts of 20 mph early and Stafford's arm are worth a look.
Everything else, including the four indoor or roofed games and the dry, calm forecasts across the rest of the slate, should play out without weather being a factor in how you build your lineups.
