Finally, we have reached the last of the bye weeks. Week 11 saw a lot of notable receiving performances, including from a number of fringe fantasy options. Normally this is the time of year where we’re thinking about dropping a receiver or two, but there are a lot of receivers we should at least consider adding this week.

- It turns out Stefon Diggs actually can get open when Adam Thielen is out. I have no idea why Diggs disappeared the two previous weeks, or how you’ll ever trust him, but I don’t know how you can ever bench a guy with 120+ receiving yards in four of his last six games. It is still frustrating to see Diggs limited to just five targets, the same as Kyle Rudolph and fewer than Dalvin Cook (six) and Bisi Johnson (9). Bisi Johnson may be running the same routes as Adam Thielen , but he isn’t nearly the same player. He’s basically a poor man’s Jamison Crowder while Thielen is out. It was also nice to see Dalvin Cook get some work in the passing game on a day he was held to just 26 rushing yards.
- Noah Fant is officially an every-week fantasy starter. There is certainly a team in every league who should pick him up and start him Week 12. Targets from Brandon Allen will never be particularly valuable, but Fant had a team-high 11 targets Sunday, and he is basically the WR2 in this offense next to Courtland Sutton . If you’re really desperate, or in a very deep league, Tim Patrick is probably addable as well. He had eight targets, and while he isn’t the most exciting receiver around, he is big and could be effective in the red zone.
- I’m still not convinced Dallas can support three fantasy wide receivers, and Sunday’s performance might actually bear that out. Randall Cobb had 7+ targets for the third straight game, catching four for 115 yards and a touchdown. His performance came largely at the expense of Amari Cooper , who caught just three of eight passes while spending most of the game shadowed by Darius Slay . Cobb is addable in deep leagues, but I’d have to be desperate to start him, especially with the Cowboys facing the Patriots, Bills, Bears, Rams and Eagles in Weeks 12-16. Even Michael Gallup will likely be a WR3 for most of those matchups, coming off his nine catches on 13 targets for 148 yards against Detroit on Sunday.
- It is pretty remarkable that Carolina was held to three points but Christian McCaffrey still finished with 30.1 fantasy points. McCaffrey had 14 targets Sunday and caught 11 for 121 yards, to go with 14 carries for 70 yards. He should really be getting more MVP consideration.
- D.J. Moore had a career-high 15 targets Sunday, catching eight for 95 yards. He has at least eight targets in six consecutive games; only Michael Thomas , Julian Edelman and DeAndre Hopkins have more targets during that span. Moore has been kept out of the end zone in those six games, but his average depth of target in that span is 11.85. He’s looking like a must-start down the stretch, even if we’re all hoping he gets a better quarterback next season.
- Speaking of which, it’s really a shame we cannot get John Brown an above-average quarterback. He finally topped five receptions for the first time since Week 2, catching nine of 14 targets for 137 yards and two touchdowns. He has at least 9.5 fantasy points in every game this season, and even if he doesn’t have another easy matchup like this one on his schedule, I don’t see how you can bench him going forward.
- In case we needed any more evidence of how awful the tight end position is in 2019, I present Cameron Brate . Brate had played a total of 26 snaps the previous two weeks with nary a target. He caught 10 of 14 targets in Week 11 while O.J. Howard played just 10 more snaps after he gave the defense a gift-wrapped interception on his only target. Brate is addable if you need a Week 12 replacement for Travis Kelce or Hunter Henry , but I doubt he’ll be a weekly fantasy starter down the stretch.
- Is Davante Parker an every-week starter the rest of the way? He has 10 targets in each of his last two games, and he has at least 11.8 fantasy points in seven straight games. Perhaps more importantly, he faces the Browns, Eagles, Jets, Giants and Bengals the next five weeks. I think I may have been too low on Parker in Week 11, but I don’t intend to make the same mistake going forward.
- Jamison Crowder has at least five receptions, 76 yards and a touchdown in each of his last three games. He’s only topped three touchdowns in a season once in his career, so the streak will almost certainly end soon, but he looks awfully safe. It doesn’t hurt that the Jets’ schedule is super soft the next three weeks.
- Mark Andrews had fewer than seven targets for just the second time all season Sunday, but he caught all four of them for 75 yards and a touchdown, so it’s okay. I worry about him with the Ravens facing the Rams, 49ers and Bills the next three weeks, but you pretty much have to play him every time out and simply hope for the best.
- Am I the only person who isn’t sold on Deebo Samuel? Sure, eight receptions, 10+ targets and 112+ yards in consecutive games is nice, but they came against the Seahawks and Cardinals with George Kittle out and Emmanuel Sanders hampered by his rib injury. There are worse players you could roster, and I like his upside for dynasty leagues, but weren’t we saying almost the exact same thing about Dante Pettis at this time last year?
- Taylor Gabriel and Anthony Miller combined for 25 targets Sunday night; they entered the game with 31 and 30 targets, respectively. Neither player caught more than 55 percent of his targets Sunday, and neither topped 60 yards. I doubt either will receive good enough quarterback play to matter for fantasy this season, but Miller is at least worth keeping an eye on. There is a reason he was such a popular pick in fantasy drafts this season.
