NFL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets for Thursday Night Football, 11/20
Well, we can’t discuss anything regarding Bills vs. Texans this week, NFL best bets for Thursday Night Football, or otherwise, without noting the importance of the C.J. Stroud injury. He missed his second straight game this past Sunday due to a concussion. However, there is reason for Houston fans to be hopeful.
Since he seemed close to returning last weekend, the Texans may have been overly cautious, knowing that there would then be a very short turnaround for this matchup against the Bills. On the flip side, the last update was that there are doubts for TNF, so we’re going to approach our NFL best bets for Thursday Night Football as if he’s NOT taking the field.
He nearly had to duel Josh Allen in the playoffs last season, but Houston fell to the Kansas City Chiefs before getting that far. Even still, we had NFL picks for Bills vs. Texans to make last season, as the two AFC squads faced off in Week 5. It was actually Houston who pulled off the 23-20 upset in that matchup.
As you’d expect, we’ll certainly be looking back at that clash for our NFL best bets for Thursday Night Football this week.

Thursday Night Football Prediction for Bills vs. TexansÂ
When these two AFC playoff teams met early last season, the Texans were just a slight 1.5-point underdog, and keep that in mind as we monitor the TNF odds for Week 12 based on the status of C.J. Stroud. Houston is certainly going to need him, as he led the charge for last year’s upset.
He did so to the tune of 331 passing yards, and at the time, it was a Stefon Diggs revenge game. Of course, he’s in New England with the Patriots these days, so he won’t be a part of any NFL best bets for Thursday Night Football (he was last week!). That said, it was actually Nico Collins who scored the lone passing TD for Houston in that game.
Buffalo relied on James Cook in that matchup, as Josh Allen had one of his worst games, going just 9-for-30 for 131 yards. While he did have 54 rushing yards, he’s likely going to need his legs even more, as the Texans have had the NFL’s best pass defense all season. That’s in large part thanks to the pressure generated by Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter.
The Bills have also been better against the pass than the run this season, which is also something to keep in mind as we fully get into the top pick from our NFL best bets for Thursday Night Football.

Bills vs. Texans Best Bet for NFL Week 12: Buffalo MLÂ & James Cook Anytime TD (Add In Sleeper Fantasy Player Picks)
We’ve all heard about how amazing the Texans’ pass defense has been all year, so it’s not a massive surprise that they were in a low-scoring clash against the Tennessee Titans. Houston’s inability to score with Davis Mills under center while facing a rookie QB in Cam Ward was always a perfect recipe for an under.
In fact, that’s certainly a reasonable approach in terms of NFL best bets for Thursday Night Football this week. The reason that we prefer the Bills taking care of business is due to the way in which they can be best exploited is not something that the Texans do well; that would be the run game.
Should Woody Marks have a much better day than he did on Sunday? Sure, but that’s not saying much. Even with that being the case, we still don’t think it’s going to be enough to overcome Buffalo. If they are indeed without C.J. Stroud, we don’t expect Davis Mills to carry the Texans with 331 yards like Stroud did last year.
Even that was still only a three-point victory, so we fully expect the Bills to continue to keep their hopes alive to steal the AFC East from the Pats. Whether that happens or not, we’ve got Buffalo ML & James Cook TD (enjoy Sleeper DFS lineups as well) as the top pick rom our NFL best bets for Thursday Night Football.
