NFL Picks, Predictions & Best Bets for Monday Night Football, 9/15
If you haven’t already gone through our overall Buccaneers vs. Texans predictions, that can certainly act as a primer for you. After all, everything leads the way to our overall best bet, and as the Monday Night Football odds suggest, we should have a close game ahead of us.
It was quite a lackluster offensive output for the Texans in Week 1 given the C.J. Stroud expectations since his record-setting rookie and sophomore campaigns. They scored just a measly nine points against the Los Angeles Rams, and the Tampa Bay defense was one of the best we watched in the season-opening weekend.
Those factors alone had us thinking about several different markets, including Buccaneers vs. Texans player props. Â

Monday Night Football Prediction for Buccaneers vs. Texans
Ultimately, we’re indeed going to end up with a player prop as our best bet. It’s one that may surprise some fans when we also share that we’re predicting a lower-scoring game. Specifically, we expect the Bucs' run defense to stifle the Houston attack, lacking Joe Mixon.
That’s why we considered checking out Nick Chubb’s rushing prop, but truthfully, at just 51.5 yards or so, depending on the platform, it’s lower than we expected. Therefore, the under doesn’t seem as valuable as anticipated. Worse yet, Houston head coach DeMeco Ryans actually came out and stated that they want to use him even more.
Frankly, that should be good news for Tampa fans, as their run defense is the far superior unit in comparison to their pass defense, and that transitions perfectly into the top pick from our NFL best bets for Monday Night Football.Â

Buccaneers vs. Texans Best Bet for NFL Week 2: Nico Collins Over 70.5 Receiving Yards (Player Card Projection at Sleeper)
Before we even take one step into our analysis, we have to share that Sleeper Fantasy is not only perfect for their valuable DFS lineups in states without legal sports betting, but their projection here is 100% as valuable as it gets.
That’s because traditional sportsbooks have this line set as high as 76.5, and while we still love Nico Collins in this spot regardless, we’ll happily take this huge discrepancy. With that out of the way, let’s expand upon the Tampa defense that we’ve been referring to. They absolutely shut down the Atlanta Falcons' run game in Week 1.
That’s right, top-tier Bijan Robinson rushed for just 24 yards on 12 carries! The Bucs' run defense ended as the fourth-best last year, so that’s par for the course. On the flip side, they ended as the fourth-worst against the pass.
Well, then it’s no shock that Bijan ended up with 100 receiving yards and a score! That sets up beautifully for Nico Collins to bounce back. We’re going with yards instead of receptions in case Chubb does get a few more carries, as Collins has the ability to hit this line in just a single catch or two.
There are a lot of moving parts here, but at the end of it all, we’ve got the top pick from our NFL best bets for Monday Night Football on Nico Collins over 70.5 receiving yards (add his pick ‘em card to a Sleeper lineup).
