As for overall NFL predictions for Wild Card Saturday, we couldn't have more polar opposite games. What we mean by that is that the Rams vs. Panthers game clearly has the biggest favorite of the opening round (LA), while oddsmakers have been flipping the favorite for Packers vs. Bears throughout the week.

That certainly makes NFL best bets for Wild Card Saturday quite interesting, but we do agree with the Rams being the biggest favorite of the slate. That’s especially true given the revenge factor; the loss to Carolina a few weeks ago was one of the upsets that led to LA not having a chance at the #1 seed.

For a bit more focus on the classic NFC North rivalry, since the Packers were locking into the #7 seed, they were able to rest key starters like Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs in Week 18. That’s key for them to get revenge like the Rams, as they fell to the Bears quite recently in their Week 16 matchup.

However, if forced to pick a winner of that rivalry with our NFL best bets for Wild Card Saturday, we’d actually support Green Bay. They took down Chicago in their meeting two weeks prior in Week 14, and the loss was a strange Saturday game that Jordan Love left early with a concussion.

Rams vs. Panthers Best Bet: Davante Adams Anytime TD (-119 at Novig)

We’re going to kick off with the earlier of the two games, or in other words, the very first game of the three-day NFL Wild Card Weekend. Obviously, just saying that we expect the Rams to win isn’t exactly a valuable pick, but for starters, we expect a 30+ point game for Matthew Stafford and company.

That translates to several guys finding the endzone, and with the way that head coach Sean McVay has made the backfield a true “by-committee” approach with Kyren Williams and Blake Corum, it’s also turned into a pick-your-poison approach in terms of which one to choose for your NFL best bets for Wild Card Saturday.

That said, you still really couldn’t go wrong, as they BOTH found the endzone when these teams met in Week 13. While that’s great, we’ve still got our eyes on the return of Davante Adams. They’ve been resting his hamstring down the stretch of the regular season so he’d be ready here, and he torched Carolina in that recent matchup.

Both RBs recorded a TD, but it was Adams who scored TWICE himself! As soon as the Rams get inside the five-yard line, it’s almost as if they prefer fades to him rather than running the ball. Therefore, we’re kicking off our NFL best bets for Wild Card Saturday with Davante Adams to score an anytime TD (-119 at Novig). 

Packers vs. Bears Best Bet: Josh Jacobs Anytime TD (-101 at Novig)

Given that we noted a big day for a Love-to-Watson connection and are about to discuss Josh Jacobs finding the endzone, if you want to keep your NFL picks a bit simpler, you could just stick with taking the Packers team total to go over. That said, we still see value in taking this more specific approach.

The price itself makes it worth adding to your NFL best bets for Wild Card Saturday, as it’s a pick that has been -200 or longer at times. Like Love, the high-volume RB was able to rest in Week 18, and he’s still among the NFL leaders in terms of carries. Prior to the aforementioned strange Week 16 game, he had scored in three straight games versus Chicago.

The Bears' defense has helped them get to this point via turnovers, but when outside of those couple of plays per game, they can absolutely be had. To that point, Chicago has also allowed the sixth-most rushing yards per game, so taking his yardage prop instead could certainly be an approach as well.
