Packers vs. Eagles Player Props: Christian Watson Over 37.5 Receiving Yards (-114 at FanDuel)

Let’s get our NFL FNF player prop picks started with a line that truthfully, seems wildly low. We mentioned that the Packers had a young WR core, and that includes Christian Watson. There’s no denying that he had some untimely drops his rookie season, but he has come around in a big way.

Of course, Love turning into a top-five QB the second half of last season certainly helps with that, but it isn’t just his development that we’re focused on. Watson turned things around against the Eagles, coincidentally enough. That was still his rookie season, and he blew by them with 110 yards and a touchdown.

Keep in mind that this was the season that Philly went to the Super Bowl, and their secondary hit a massive decline last season. The Eagles allowed the opposition to fly high, as they allowed the second-most passing yards per game. They also lost edge rusher Haason Reddick, so getting pressure may also be an issue.

Packers vs. Eagles Player Prop Bets: Saquon Barkley Over 64.5 Rushing Yards (-114 at FanDuel)

Flipping to the Philly side of our Packers vs. Eagles player props also swap from the passing game to the running game. After all, that is where Green Bay can be exploited. Just like Philly was terrible against the pass, the Pack were the same against the run.

They allowed the fifth-most rushing yards per game, and that was no fluke. They’ve been in the bottom 10 in that regard in back-to-back seasons, which led to the firing of former defensive coordinator Joe Barry. The change may lead to future improvements, but there will still almost certainly be an adjustment period.

As for Barkley himself, he has had a great time against the Packers in his career. It’s only a three-game sample size, but the former Giant has rushed for 70, 83 and 86 yards against them. In those matchups, he also eclipsed 30 receiving yards twice, so consider a combination play when we see those available.
