Another week in the books, and even more injuries to discuss. Fantasy football managers always struggle to navigate injuries, but this year it seems more star players are falling victim to the injury bug. With injuries aplenty, and the Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Chargers, and Washington Commanders on bye this week, managers have an additional set of challenges to navigate.

NFL Week 6 Injury Report: Quarterbacks

Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles)

Hurts has been unexpectedly ruled out as he is dealing with a blood clot in his calf. The team is hopeful this will clear up shortly, but they are playing it safe with their star QB. Tanner McKee will get the start this weekend, limiting the upside of this offense against Carolina.

Michael Penix (Atlanta Falcons)

Penix Jr. has been fully cleared to play this weekend against the Chicago Bears. He is expected to play with no limitations.

Baker Mayfield (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Mayfield has officially been ruled out this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is continuing to manage a finger injury, but it has been determined he is not currently ready to play.

Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens)

Jackson has been ruled out yet again with his ankle injury. Tyler Huntley will get another start in his place against the Browns.

Caleb Williams (Chicago Bears)

While Caleb Williams has returned to practice, he is not currently sure if he will be starting this weekend at this time. He has medical protocols to clear, but has stated that he’s hit top speeds running and has been able to make all the throws he normally has. We may not have clarity here until game day as he is listed as questionable.

NFL Week 6 Injury Report: Running Backs

Will Shipley (Philadelphia Eagles)

Shipley did not practice this week and has officially been placed on IR. Tough news for someone finally getting a chance to start.

Saquon Barkley (Philadelphia Eagles)

Barkley is out yet again with his hamstring injury. With injuries to Shipley and Tank Bigsby, Dameon Pierce is expected to get the start.

Quinshon Judkins (Cleveland Browns)

Judkins is officially listed as questionable after not practicing Wednesday or Thursday. I’m not expecting him to play this weekend unless he can return to practice on Friday or shows he’s healthy enough to go.

David Montgomery (Houston Texans)

Montgomery suffered a groin injury this weekend. Per head coach DeMeco Ryans, he is considered week-to-week. If he’s unable to practice or play this week, expect Woody Marks to operate as the RB1 for the offense.

TreVeyon Henderson (New England Patriots)

Henderson has been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain after an MRI. That said, he is hoping to play this weekend, but I would not expect him to. If he is active, I would expect his snaps to be limited and his production to be lower, as high ankle sprains notoriously sap production from RB’s.

Breece Hall (New York Jets)

Hall has been ruled out this weekend against the Patriots. Braelon Allen will receive yet another start in his place.

Rico Dowdle (Pittsburgh Steelers)

Dowdle has returned to practice in full capacity. This has opened the door for his return this weekend, and I’m expecting him to be active. This will potentially limit the upside of Jaylen Warren, who has been operating as one of the top fantasy options at RB during the time Dowdle has been out of the lineup.\

Jacory Croskey-Merritt (Washington Commanders)

Croskey-Merritt has not practiced this week as he deals with a groin injury. If he’s unable to play on Monday, Rachaad White and Austin Ekeler are expected to split the work at running back.

Jeremiyah Love (Arizona Cardinals)

Love has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Rams due to an ankle injury. Tyler Allgeier will get the start, with Bam Knight operating as his backup. James Conner is also getting close to returning to practice, but his 21-day window has not yet been opened.

Kyle Monangai (Chicago Bears)

Monangai is continuing to trend in the right direction, but remains week-to-week and will not play this weekend against the Falcons. He is avoiding IR, so the Bears must believe he’ll be good to go next week or the week after.

NFL Week 6 Injury Report: Wide Receivers

DJ Moore (Buffalo Bills)

Moore has still not returned to practice as he continues to deal with a shoulder injury. He is not going to play this weekend, making Keon Coleman an interesting option once again.

Jalen Coker (Carolina Panthers)

Coker is expected to return to the lineup this weekend against the Eagles. This is a huge bump for a Panthers offense that has shown plenty of glimpses of greatness thus far.

KC Concepcion (Cleveland Browns)

Concepcion has cleared concussion protocol as of Friday. He will be active this weekend against the Ravens and is likely operating as the WR1 in this offense yet again. His fantasy production thus far has been limited, but he continues to earn a high volume of targets, suggesting a breakout could be right around the corner.

Rashee Rice (Kansas City Chiefs)

Rice has officially been ruled out for this weekend's game against the Chargers. With Tyquan Thornton also hurt, the Chiefs are expected to lean on Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy, and Jalen Royals in his place.

A.J. Brown (New England Patriots)

Head coach Mike Vrabel stated that the Patriots will not make a call on Brown’s status until Saturday. Managers will have to wait this one out, and we may not even have an inkling one way or another until Sunday.

DeVonta Smith (Philadelphia Eagles)

Smith has stated that he is good to go this weekend, but that it’s up to the team doctors at this point. With the multiple injuries this team is dealing with, I would not be surprised to see the team hold him out this weekend.

Deebo Samuel (San Francisco 49ers)

Samuel has been ruled out this weekend, but will not be placed on IR given the team's bye week in week 8. This is good news that he may be able to return post-bye.

Tre' Harris (Los Angeles Chargers)

Harris has not returned to practice at this time and is considered doubtful to play this weekend. The Chargers offense takes yet another hit to their WR room.

NFL Week 6 Injury Report: Tight Ends

T.J. Hockenson (Minnesota Vikings)

Hockenson was ruled out this weekend with a concussion. He will enter the protocol, but with the team on a bye this week, managers will need another option at the position.

Kenyon Sadiq (New York Jets)

Sadiq seems to be progressing well through the concussion protocol and is currently expected to play this weekend. We will get additional updates throughout the weekend, but as of now, I’m expecting him to play.
