Boom Fantasy Super Bowl 57 Player Prop Picks

Boston Scott Over 7.5 Yards Rushing

One of my favorite Super Bowl 57 player props is the rushing total for Boston Scott. The Eagles ran the ball on over 50 percent of their offensive plays during the 2022-23 NFL season which was the fourth-highest rate in the league. With QB Jalen Hurts under-center the RPO style of offense keeps the opposing defenses off-balance and the Eagles use a committee of backs led by Miles Sanders but that also includes Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell. Over the first two playoff games, we saw Scott get six carries in each game while rushing for 21 and 32 yards. We only need eight rushing yards to hit this player prop and assuming the workload remains the same for Scott in this matchup that should be no issue for him at all against the Chiefs.

Patrick Mahomes Under 294.5 Passing Yards

I’ve been pretty vocal about my feelings on this matchup for the Chiefs against the Eagles defense so it should come as no surprise that I am taking the under on the passing yards for Mahomes in this matchup. The Eagles come into this game with the top-rated pass defense and number-one-ranked pass defense per DVOA rating. They also led the league with 70 sacks, 15 more than the next-best team.

While the Chiefs are not listing anyone on their injury report ahead of Super Bowl 57, we also know that their offense is banged up. Patrick Mahomes was visibly hobbled during the Chiefs win over the Bengals and though active, both JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kadarius Toney were injured as well. If Mahomes is under-pressure and his ankle is still not at 100% this could be a long day and it wouldn’t shock me if we see a similar performance from Mahomes like we did when the Chiefs lost to the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl a few seasons ago where he completed just 53 percent of his passes for 270 yards with no touchdowns while being sacked three times.
