Underdog Fantasy NBA Pick'em Top Plays
Domantas Sabonis, C Sacramento Kings
The Kings and Pacers face off here today for the second time six games. Last time out we saw Sabonis finish with a triple-double, scoring 21 points with 11 and 10 assists in a game the Kings lost 126-121. This time around the Kings are on the road to face the Pacers who are on the second leg of a back-to-back after losing to the Knicks last night. When I started writing this play up the line was sitting at 21.5 Reb+Ast and now the line is at 22.5 Reb+Ast but I'm still going to dip my pen in the ink. Sabonis finished with a combined 21 Reb+Ast in their last meeting but he has gone over this total in three of the last four games overall. We also just saw the Pacers give up 19 rebounds to Isaiah Hartenstein, 16 rebounds to Precious Achiuwa and 12 rebounds to Josh Hart LAST NIGHT. The Pacers are not a great rebounding team and we saw Sabonis put up a 26 rebound game the other day. This game has a 248.5 game total with the Kings being three-point road favorites. Sabonis currently leads the league in rebound chances per game at 21.8 and is 10th in the NBA in assist chances per game at 13.1. We only need 22.5 rebounds & assists here tonight for us to cash this play.
Pick: Higher than 22.5 Rebounds+Assists
Trae Young, PG Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks are back healthy with Dejounte Murray returning to the lineup the other night and now we get a matchup against the Phoenix Suns in a game with a 248.5 game total where the Hawks are 3.5-point home underdogs. Having a healthy Murray matters because we are looking at the Trae Young assist prop here this evening over on Underdog Fantasy. Currently his target is set at 11.0 assists which is a number that Young has hit in five of his last six games. No surprise, Young is also second in the NBA in assist chances per game with 18.6 chances. Given the Suns poor defense and the high game total here I am expecting Young to cash in on plenty of his assist opportunities this evening.
Pick: Higher than 11.0 Assists
