NBA DFS Showdown Slate Picks

MVP/Captain

Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings

Sabonis is the best play here at the captain spot tonight. Not only does he have the highest floor, but he also has the highest ceiling. he will score anywhere from 35-70 fantasy points. It's just a matter if you can build a solid lineup at his price, and I think you can tonight.

De'Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings

Fox has been dealing with a wrist issue but has played the last two games and really hasn't skipped a beat. He has scored 25 and 33 game points in back-to-back games. He has also been on a tear recently. Fox has scored at least over 30 game points in eight of his last ten games. You should feel comfortable playing him tonight, even with the wrist issues.

Brandon Ingram, New Orleans Pelicans

This was tough here for me to decide between Ingram and McCollum but Ingram slightly has a better ceiling. We saw him just go bonkers for 40 game points for just under 60 fantasy points going 16-29 from the field. But then he followed up with a 6-16 from the field for just 29 fantasy points. This is a good matchup for him, in a fast-paced game against one of the worst defensively rated teams in the NBA.

Utility

CJ McCollum, New Orleans Pelicans

CJ is coming off back-to-back solid performances scoring at least 42 fantasy points in each game. He plays a ton of minutes, and the matchup is great here against the Kings. McCollum should find his way into your lineup once again tonight.

Harrison Barnes, Sacramento Kings

Barnes is just extremely solid no matter what the matchup looks like. He has scored at least 22 fantasy points in six straight games. What we love to see is his double-digit shot attempts in four straight games. This game will be fast-paced like all Kings games are ranking in the top ten in pace, so we like Barnes in this one.

Kevin Huerter, Sacramento Kings

Huerter is a sketchy play because his minutes fluctuate so much between games recently. He has played 33 minutes twice over this five-game span. In the other three games, however, he played 20 minutes and 22 minutes twice. In the two games he played 33 minutes, he scored at least 38 in each game. In the other three games, he eclipsed 20 fantasy points just twice. If you do not want to pay $6,000 for him tonight because of the inconsistencies I get it.

Keegan Murray, Sacramento Kings

Murray is a very boom-or-bust type of player. His price is $5,000 on DraftKings so you aren't paying a ton and he gives you a high ceiling. Unfortunately, we saw his floor in his last game as he only scored 6.5 fantasy points. I chalk that up as just a tough game and expect him to bounce back and be around the 20-25 fantasy point range tonight.

Dart Throws

Trey Murphy, New Orleans Pelicans

Trey Murphy will most likely be owned by every single person tonight with him back in the starting lineup with Josh Richardson out of the lineup once again. He has played 38 and 32 minutes in back-to-back games and scored 24 and 27 fantasy points. He is a very solid play tonight, just a chalky one.

Jaxson Hayes, New Orleans Pelicans

The last time these two teams met up, Jaxson Hayes played 19 minutes and scored 19 fantasy points. He has been in and out of the rotation for most of the season but has played 16, 21, and 25 minutes. He is a dart-throw option here and I do not hate the thought.
