NBA DFS Showdown Slate Picks
MVP/Captain
Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks
How you build your lineups will depend on whether Luka Doncic will be available or not. He did go through a shootaround and has been upgraded to probable. He did sit out Sunday's game so there is a chancehe sits again with the ankle injury. If he plays, you have to play him because if he goes off and you do not, it's over for you tonight. Just keep an eye on it, or join our NBA discord channel where I will update you on this matchup as news comes out.
Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers
Kawhi Leonard played a season-high 38 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks. He had a great fantasy night scoring 48.75 fantasy points and posting a line of 29/7/4 with two steals. He is your top option for the captain spot if Luka does not play in this one. Kawhi should be in your lineup regardless tonight.
Christian Wood, Dallas Mavericks
Christian Wood has been great since entering the starting lineup. Wood has scored at least 40 fantasy points in four of his last five games including 50 fantasy points in the last game. It sounds like Luka will return to the lineup tonight, however, Wood will still be fine.
Utility
Spencer Dinwiddie, Dallas Mavericks
Either way, Dinwiddie is a fine play if Luka plays or not tonight. It just caps his ceiling to around 30 points or so. With Luka off the floor, Dinwiddie's usage goes from 20% to 28% according to statmuse.com. The 37 fantasy points he scored in their last game was the most he had scored in five games. With Luka playing tonight I do like Dinwiddie less.
Tim Hardaway Jr., Dallas Mavericks
Hardaway's season has been a roller coaster. But recently he has developed around a 15-fantasy point floor and can give you 30 on any given night. At $7,200 he is a little expensive but If you can fit him in, I believe he will return value for tonight. We saw him score 30 fantasy points in his last outing, lets's see if he can go back-to-back.
Marcus Morris Sr, Los Angeles Clippers
Marcus Morris slides into the secondary scoring option for this Clippers team with Paul George out of the lineup. He was second on the team in shot attempts with 16, and he finished with 32 fantasy points. At 6K on DraftKings this might be the easiest play of the night. I do not see Morris scoring less than 25 fantasy points in this matchup.
Norman Powell, Los Angeles Clippers
Without Paul George available Norman Powell played 31 minutes and was third on the team in shot attempts with 13. Unfortunately, he only made three of them but still finished with 24.25 fantasy points. Powell will lead this bench unit once again tonight and should make his way into your lineups.
Dart Throws
Terance Mann, Los Angeles Clippers
I was flabbergasted when I saw Terance Mann's price on DraftKings today. He is sitting at $4,400 when he scored 34 fantasy in 35 minutes in their last outing. He is in line to start once again in this one as the Clippers defacto point guard. Reggie Jackson has struggled and was moved to the bench and only played eight minutes. Mann will go five times his value in this matchup
Reggie Bullock, Dallas Mavericks
Bullock started in place of Luke Donic in the Mavs last game and will likely go back to the bench in this one. He plays a ton of minutes regardless just playing under 30 minutes a game. Bullock is nothing more than a three & D wing, but if he gets hot from behind the arc, he could have a solid game at his $3,400 price.
