NBA DFS Showdown Slate

MVP/Captain

Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks

There is really just one option to put at the captain spot tonight, and that is Luka Doncic. We just watched him put on an all-time show against the Knicks in his last game. In case you missed it Luka posted a 60/21/10 game for 110 fantasy points. Just an absurd line that we have never seen before. It might be hard to get him in your lineup tonight with how expensive he is, but you have to. The Rockets are awful defensively, so Luka should cook as he did in their last matchup against one another when he had 82 fantasy points.

Christian Wood, Dallas Mavericks

The last two games are what we have been waiting for from Wood all season. He has played 38 and 40 minutes in his last two. Wood did struggle in the last matchup against the Rockets only scoring 22 fantasy points in just 28 minutes of action. If this game stays close, I expect Wood to get 35+ minutes in this one, and return value.

Kevin Porter Jr., Houston Rockets

I went with Kevin Porter Jr. instead of Jalen Green as a possible captain is his ceiling. He went crazy against the Bulls two games ago going 6-12 from behind the arc for 36 points nine assists and seven rebounds for 60 fantasy points. I do have to mention in the last matchup against the Mavs Porter struggled finishing with just 22 fantasy points.

Utility

Jalen Green, Houston Rockets

In the Rockets last matchup against the Mavs Jalen Green was just putting his head down and attacking the defense. He got the free throw line 12 times while knocking down 11 of them. He struggled from the field in that one going 6-17 from the field, but the charity stripe saved his night finishing with 41 fantasy points. Green has scored at least 21 game points in four straight games.

Alperen Sengun, Houston Rockets

We have seen the good and the bad in the last two games from Sengun. in his last game against Boston, he got played off the floor because his defense is just so bad at times, and he only played 22 minutes scoring just 15 fantasy points. But in the previous two games including one against the Mavs, Sengun was awesome scoring 41 and 53 fantasy points. I expect Sengun to take advantage of Dallas's frontcourt once again and have another solid performance.

Tim Hardaway Jr., Dallas Mavericks

Hardaway has been a bit of a roller coaster ride this season. He was really unplayable at the beginning of the season, but he has been much better for the last month since being inserted into the starting lineup. In the last game, he finished with just 23 fantasy points. He is a bit pricey tonight so I get looking in another direction, but our options are limited tonight. Hardaway has only gone over 30 fantasy points twice in his last eight games.

Kenyon Martin Jr. Houston Rockets

KJ Martin goes back to the bench in this one with the expectation that Eric Gordon will play tonight. That is ok though, he has played over 20 minutes in the last 12 games he played. He has scored in double-figures in four straight games, including a matchup against Dallas, where he posted 21 fantasy points. I like getting Martin in my lineup tonight.

Dart Throw

Tari Eason, Houston Rockets

Eason is just very solid. It's tough for him to see a high ceiling each night just playing around 20 minutes each night. He has failed to score over 20 fantasy points in his five games, but he has yet to fall into single digits. If you need someone to get you close to 20 points in your lineup, I am fine with Eason.

Eric Gordon, Houston Rockets

If you want to play Luka, you'll have to play Eric Gordon. He has gotten up double-digit shot attempts in each of his last two games played. We have seen it in the past, that if he gets cooking early he could score 30 fantasy points on any given night. That would be almost 10x his price. Gordon should be in your lineup tonight.
