DFS Captain / MVP Picks

Domantas Sabonis, SAC

(DK $10,400 / FD $15,000)

Sabonis played just 19 games last season after dealing with multiple injuries. He has a clean bill of health entering this season and should be the focal point of the Kings offense. His double-double potential gives him legitimate tournament-winning upside.

Darius Garland, LAC

(DK $9,600 / FD $14,000)

Garland should have an expanded offensive role for a Clippers team missing key scorers like Ingram and Beal. The lead guard averaged 18.8 points and 6.7 assists per game last season, and the depleted rotation should give him additional opportunities to handle the ball, create shots, and rack up assists. Sacramento’s fast-paced style adds to his upside, making Garland one of the most appealing options on the slate.

Darius Acuff, SAC

(DK $9,200 / FD $11,200)

Acuff comes with solid upside as Sacramento's projected starting point guard. His ability to create offense and play as a primary playmaker makes him one of the top options. He could have some growing pains in his NBA debut, with turnovers and inconsistent shooting as the main risks. However, the upside if he exceeds expectations is certainly worth targeting.

Zach LaVine, SAC

(DK $8,200 / FD $10,400)

LaVine is an intriguing upside play given the likelihood he leads Sacramento in usage and scoring. He won't deliver much in peripheral stat categories, but he does have legitimate 30+-point potential. If Monk sits, LaVine's outlook only improves.

DFS Utility Picks

Keegan Murray, SAC

(DK 7,800 / FD $12,000)

Murray offers a combination of rebounding, three-point shooting, and defensive-stat upside. His ability to contribute across multiple categories makes him an appealing option, but his ceiling depends more on efficient shooting and defensive production than the top options.

Keaton Wagler, LAC

(DK $7,200 / FD $9,600)

Wagler offers upside through scoring, three-point shooting, and playmaking. The fifth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft has shown flashes during the preseason, including 12 points, five rebounds, and four assists against Denver and 15-6-3 against Golden State. He is projected to start alongside Garland with Beal, Strus, and Ingram all ruled out.

Rui Hachimura, LAC

(DK $6,600 / FD $8,400)

Hachimura should step into a significant role in the Clippers offense with their banged-up rotation. He averaged 17.0 points per game across three preseason contests despite averaging just 19.3 minutes per game. The playing time should increase now that the regular season has arrived.

Isaiah Jackson, LAC

(DK $4,800 / FD $4,600)

Jackson has been named the Clippers’ starting center for the season opener, which gives him tremendous upside at his very affordable salary. The handsy big man will need to avoid foul trouble to maintain his playing time, but his rebounding and shot-blocking give him upside beyond scoring. Brook Lopez's presence adds further risk to Jackson's playing time, but he can easily pay off in 20+ minutes.
