DFS Captain / MVP Picks

Kawhi Leonard, LAC 

(DK CPT - $15,000, UTIL - $10,000 / FD CPT - $19,800, UTIL - $13,200)

Leonard has been outstanding in the two games since Ivica Zubac went down with an injury. Last game, he went off for 41 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists against a tough Houston defense. He is now over 1.4 FP/min with Zubac off the floor this season. 

James Harden, LAC 

(DK CPT - $14,700, UTIL - $9,800 / FD CPT - $19,500, UTIL - $13,000)

Even with Kawhi Leonard going nuclear last game, Harden still put up a very respectable 29-4-6 line. He has just as much ceiling as Leonard and is actually a bit cheaper on both sites. Harden is just a tick below 1.4 FP/min with Zubac off the floor this season, and makes for a great option in the top lineup spot. 

Deni Avdija, POR 

(DK CPT - $16,200, UTIL - $10,800 / FD CPT - $20,100, UTIL - $13,400)

Avdija has the highest ceiling on the slate, as he is live for a triple-double every time he steps on the court. It has been nearly a month since we have seen the 70-fantasy point ceiling, but he has had a few 50+ FP performances in the past couple of weeks. 

Shaedon Sharpe, POR  

(DK CPT - $13,200, UTIL - $8,800 / FD CPT - $16,200, UTIL - $10,800)

Sharpe saw his minutes dip under 30 for the first time in five games, but he should be back in the 32-35 minutes range for this contest. He has flashed a 50-fantasy point ceiling multiple times this season, and has a decent chance of hitting it with Jerami Grant still out. 

 

 

 


 

DFS Utility Picks

Donovan Clingan, POR 

(DK CPT - $11,700, UTIL - $7,800 / FD CPT - $14,700, UTIL - $9,800)

Clingan has been a monster on the glass and has become a nightly double-double threat. He's playing 30+ minutes with Grant out of the lineup and comes with 40-fantasy point upside. The big man has been over 30 fantasy points in four straight games and offers a very solid floor as well. 

John Collins, LAC 

(DK CPT - $9,600, UTIL - $6,400 / FD CPT - $12,300, UTIL - $8,200)

Collins is coming off another solid performance, posting 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists against Houston. He has a locked-in role of about 30 minutes, and he's been heavily involved in the offense with Zubac on the sidelines. 

Brook Lopez, LAC 

(DK CPT - $6,600, UTIL - $4,400 / FD CPT - $4,200, UTIL - $2,800)

Lopez drew the start for the injured Zubac in the last game and played 27 minutes. He should have the same role tonight, which makes him one of the top value options on the single-game slate. 

Caleb Love, POR 

(DK CPT - $5,400, UTIL - $3,600 / FD CPT - $3,000, UTIL - $2,000)

Love saw his playing time spike up to 33 minutes last game, delivering 17 points on 54% shooting. He was in the closing lineup over Kris Murray, but it remains to be seen if that role is sticky. There is a wide range of outcomes for Love's playing time tonight, as it could range anywhere from around 18 minutes all the way to the 33 he played last game. It's worth rolling the dice on him at these price tags.
