DFS Captain / MVP Picks

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC

(DK CPT - $17,400, UTIL - $11,600 / FD CPT - $22,800, UTIL - $15,200)

SGA has a huge floor/ceiling combination and is the top overall play on the slate. OKC is expected to score 15.5 more points than Portland, and Gilgeous-Alexander is the one most likely to be leading the charge. The only concern is if he plays a full allotment of minutes if the score gets out of hand before the fourth quarter.

Deni Avdija, POR

(DK CPT - $16,200, UTIL - $10,800 / FD CPT - $20,700, UTIL - $13,800)

Avdija has been over 50 fantasy points in each of his last three games and has displayed an incredible ceiling all season long. He plays upper-30s minutes and contributes all across the stat sheet, giving him triple-double upside each time he takes the floor.

Chet Holmgren, OKC

(DK CPT - $12,900, UTIL - $8,600 / FD CPT - $17,700, UTIL - $11,800)

Holmgren has put up 45+ fantasy points in back-to-back games. He has a significantly cheaper price tag than the top two options, which means he doesn't need quite the scoring outburst to fit in as the optimal Captain.

DFS Utility Picks

Jalen Williams, OKC

(DK CPT - $13,500, UTIL - $9,000 / FD CPT - $18,300, UTIL - $12,200)

Williams is coming off one of his best games of the season, in which he filled up the stat sheet with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. It was just his second game all season scoring more than 40 fantasy points. For that reason, he is preferred in a UTIL slot, but he has one of the best floors on the slate.

Donovan Clingan, POR

(DK CPT - $12,000, UTIL - $8,000 / FD CPT - $13,500, UTIL - $9,000)

Clingan has elevated his game with Jerami Grant out of the lineup. He's always a threat to spike a big rebounding game, but now he's doing a lot more scoring as well. He's scored at least 14 points in five of his last seven games, which makes him a great bet for a double-double.

Shaedon Sharpe, POR

(DK CPT - $13,800, UTIL - $9,200 / FD CPT - $16,200, UTIL - $10,800)

Sharpe is leading the Blazers in usage this season and is up at almost 34% with Grant and Holiday off the court. He's consistently playing low-30s minutes and has flashed 50-fantasy point upside a few times this season. The massive usage provides a solid foundation, making Sharpe a strong utility option.

Caleb Love, POR

(DK CPT - $6,900, UTIL - $4,600 / FD CPT - $6,900, UTIL - $4,600)

Love has had a bigger role since Jerami Grant went down with an injury, playing at least 25 minutes in four straight games. He went off for more than 30 fantasy points last game and is one of the top value options on the single-game slate.

Alex Caruso, OKC

(DK CPT - $5,100, UTIL - $3,400 / FD CPT - $5,700, UTIL - $3,800)

Caruso saw a playing time spike up to 24 minutes last game, and he responded with more than 30 fantasy points. He is a bit underpriced if he plays more than 20 minutes again, and one of the top values on the slate.
