What is going on FANation! We went 2-2 with yesterday's prop plays with hits on our two featured plays of DeMar DeRozan over 24.5 points and CJ McCollum over 19.5 points but we missed by the hook on Zach LaVine over 4.5 rebounds and we watched Cade Cunningham shoot just 3-of-17 from the floor against the Magic to fall well short of his PRA total.
That being said we look toward today's six game slate where there are quite a few matchups we are looking to take advantage.

Today's Top Plays
Joel Embiid Over 15.5 First Half Points
We took a break from this play the other night against the Lakers when it was sitting at 16.5 but I told you that any time we get this number under 16 that I will be playing it. Embiid has hit the OVER 15.5 in 10 of the 13 games played this month and he has a very nice matchup here against the Kings who rank among the worst teams in the NBA defending the center position. The Kings also start the usually foul happy Richaun Holmes and Embiid is no stranger to getting to the free throw line during this dominant stretch of play he is on right now.

Jimmy Butler Over 6.0 Assists
I gotta be honest here this number definitely feels low and almost like it's a trap play. With Kyle Lowry out of the lineup we have seen Butler hit the OVER on this mark in six of the nine games. Butler had 10 assists against the Raptors in their earlier meeting this season and he himself has hit the over on this total in six of the last eight games. I know the 209 point total is nothing special but we are looking at a three-point spread and Butler is going to be the primary facilitator on offense for the Heat.

Klay Thompson Over 16.5 Points
This one here we are just going to play the trends. For his career Klay Thompson is a guy who averages over 20 points per game but as he builds his minutes back up to full strength the algos I don't think are correctly taking into account the increased playing time that he is likely to see as we get deeper into the season. Over the last two games Thompson has played 26 and 27 minutes which are the most he has seen since his return. We could very well see another bump here tonight against the Nets but we at least know he is going to be locked into more than 25 minutes baring any foul trouble or blowout scenarios. Thompson's shooting was also on point the other night as he knocked down a season best five three-pointers while shooting 9-of-16 from the field. He's hit the OVER 16.5 in two of the last four games and it won't be long before he is hitting this mark with ease.

Jaylen Brown Over 6.0 Rebounds
I don't really know what has gotten into Jaylen Brown recently when it comes to crashing the glass but the man has been determined out there. He has three straight double-doubles and has hit the over in six of the last 10 games with one push. The Pelicans are a good rebounding team but will be without Brandon Ingram tonight and potentially Jonas Valanciunas here as well. We also did see Brown grab eight boards in a meeting against the Pelicans earlier this season. We talk a lot about how rebounding is all about effort and with Boston coming off a tough loss last night to the Hawks I think we see Brown go out there and be aggressive again to get the Celtics back on the winning track.
