Chris Paul Over 16.5 Points
One of the rare occasions where I've seen the sportsbooks with a lower number than what PrizePicks is giving us here with Paul listed at 15.5 points on some platforms. That said, I'm not shying away from CP3 right now as the man is playing at another level for the Western Conference leading Phoenix Suns. The Bulls are without their top two defensive guards in Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso and while rookie Ayo Dosunmu is a decent defender there is a good chance he is the one drawing the Devin Booker assignment in this matchup. Paul has hit the over on this point prop in eight of the last 10 games and likely would have hit the other against the Wizards a few nights ago if the Suns didn't have a 34-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Suns are currently an eight point road favorite here tonight but the 227.5 game total is the highest on the slate so let's ride.
Mason Plumlee Over 8.5 Rebounds
Plumlee is finally getting consistent minutes at the center spot for the Hornets and it has paid off with some strong rebounding totals. Even in the Hornets blowout loss we saw Plulmee grab 10 rebounds in 24 minutes the other night. He has hit the over on tonight's total in eight of the last 10 games which included a nine rebound performance in this same matchup two weeks ago. During this 10 game stretch Plumlee is averaging 28 minutes a night and on the year when he has played at least 28 minutes he has hit the over in 11-of-14 contests.
Javonte Green Over 1.5 Blocks+Steals
We played this one yesterday and it hit so why not go back to the well? Green has been starting at power forward for the Bulls of late and over the last 10 games he has hit the over on this total in nine of those games, averaging 2.6 Blocks+Steals per game. In fact, as he can see from the chart below, he has totaled at least three Blocks+Steals in seven of the 10 contests. I will acknowledge that the Suns are pretty good with the basketball but Green is athletic and aggressive on the defensive end.
OG Anunoby Over 2.5 Assists
I've had some bad luck when it comes to following the recent OG stat trends but given the short slate and the game total here of 224 I am going to let it ride here once again. Anunoby has hit the over on today's prop in six of the last eight games. It should not be too surprising that his assist totals are going up when the likes of Gary Trent, Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet continue to score at a high rate. The Hornets play at a high pace and this game is expected to be competitive. Now, when these two teams play two weeks ago OG finished with just two assists here but that game did not have FVV active. With the Raptors at full strength I think we will continue to see the uptrend in passing from Anunoby here tonight.
