The calendar has turned to April, well it did two weeks ago, but it is now the postseason and we have a clean slate in front of us. While we are going to base our thoughts for today based on what we saw over the last 82 games, it is a fresh start for all involved. While the intensity ramps up the further along we go, this might be the most exciting time of the playoffs as there are four games on the schedule beginning at 3:00 PM on the east coast.

Our day will begin with the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the Memphis Grizzlies followed by the Miami Heat at the Milwaukee Bucks with the Los Angeles Clippers traveling to Phoenix to take on the Suns next before the day comes to a close with the Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets

It goes without saying that there is true star power at the top of this slate with Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis, but we are not short of top options by any stretch.

Favorite Players to Use for NBA DFS Lineups

Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies

It makes sense to target Morant today as he is part of what is expected to be the highest scoring game of the day in what will also be the fastest paced matchup. Another point in Morant's favor is the struggles the Lakers have had this season dealing with opposing point guards from a DFS perspective. At this point, the suspension and the associated fallout should be all past Morant and we know what he can do from an upside perspective. In two games against the Lakers this season, Morant scored 22 and 39 points and in 14 postseason games, he is averaging 28.2 points, 9.2 assists, and 6.9 rebounds. I also like the fact that he is the sixth most expensive player on DK today.

Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers

It was proven during the regular season that all limits were removed from Leonard and the fact that the Clippers will be without Paul George today only serves to benefit the forward. It is a tough matchup against the Suns, but it is also projected to be the second highest scoring game on the slate, and that means plenty of production from Leonard. In 14 games without George in the lineup this season, Leonard averaged 25 points, 7.1 rebounds, and four assists and that is production we would certainly sign up for.

Jamaal Murray, Denver Nuggets

While the Nuggets do not exactly play fast, their opponents do, and that means, at least at some level, Denver will have to keep up with them. The Nuggets are the better team and from a DFS perspective, it is a favorable matchup for Murray who is seemingly fully healthy and ready to roll for the playoffs after averaging 20 points in the regular season. When we last saw Murray in the postseason, Murray raised his game as he averaged 26.5 points.

Kevin Durant, Phoenix Suns

This is exactly why the Suns acquired Durant as we know he certainly is not lacking for postseason experience or upside. We are getting him at a discount given his uneven regular season this past year, but the playoffs are a totally different situation, and with Durant off the injury report, we can feel good about his outlook. When we last saw Durant, the Suns let him lose for 40 minutes and the forward was more than capable of the task as he scored 29 points to go along with seven rebounds and four assists.

Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks

Middleton only played in 33 games this season and the Bucks were, rightfully so, very careful with the forward. There were some situations though in which Milwaukee let Middleton loose and he was more than up for it. Now that it is the postseason, there are no restrictions on the forward after he still managed to average 15.1 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game in the regular season despite being limited.

LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers

The game between the Lakers and Grizzlies is going to be both high-scoring and fast. that is obviously a plus from a DFS perspective, and it is no secret what James is capable of. After winning their play-in game on Tuesday, James has had ample rest heading into today's playoff game and he should be locked and loaded as the Lakers can do some real damage. James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game this year while showing no real signs of age and the track record speaks for itself.
