NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Tuesday Playbook

It's Tuesday, January 13th, and we have a 5-game NBA DFS main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel.

We have a very interesting slate because there aren't any games with implied team totals over 233.5. The Minnesota Timberwolves have a lot available value with Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert ruled out. The Spurs and Thunder meet for the FOURTH time this year and players such as Jamal Murray, Jalen Green, Norman Powell, and Tari Eason are either question or out.

Before actually diving into the meat and potatoes, welcome to the NBA DFS season. If this is your first time reading our column on NBA DFS picks, I just want to welcome you and give you a few tips and tricks on what you should be looking for each night.

News outlets: reliable sources that give us injury news & starting lineups
Pace of play: who's playing fast vs. who's playing slow. Which teams get a pace-up spot (more possessions) vs. pace-down (fewer possessions)
Usage rates: is a percentage of how many plays that player is being used in

Adding Alex Caruso to player pool with Luguentz Dort ruled out. Cason Wallace is an interesting GPP pivot at lower ownership.

With Turner off the floor; Giannis Antetokounmpo; 35.3% USG, 1.8 FP/min // Ryan Rollins; 25.9% USG (+2.2%), 1.15 FP/min // Kevin Porter; 28% USG (+3.3%), 1.13 FP/min // Bobby Portis; 24.3% USG, 1.02 FP/min
Head coach Doc Rivers will attempt to limit Giannis' minutes to 30-31 tonight. Still VERY viable, but definitely takes a very little hit to his value.
Mike Conley is starting over Bones Hyland. I still prefer Hyland between the two. You can play them both.
