Notable NBA Game Totals Today, 3/10

Top-Price NBA DFS Core Plays

De'Aaron Fox, PG Sacramento Kings

Price is finally up for Fox but that doesn't make him any less of a great play here today against the Houston Rockets. Houston has been a worse team defensively on the road this season than at home and Fox  has gone for over 50 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games.

Tyrese Haliburton, PG Indiana Pacers

Another point guard whose price tends to move up and down. Haliburton  has elite double-double upside and while normally we look to avoid matchups against the Magic, the fact that they are without Suggs and Fultz today will make for an easier matchup for the Pacers point guard.

Paolo Banchero, PF Orlando Magic

HUGE pace up spot for the Magic today with the Pacers on the schedule. Banchero has back-to-back 40+ fantasy point games and four games of 40+ fantasy points over the last five. this is certainly a spot where a ceiling performance could be in the cards given that Banchero is averaging 29 points per game against the Pacers this season.

Jarrett Allen, C Cleveland Cavaliers

I mean, we knew Allen was going to be in for some big time production with Mobley and Mitchell out of the lineup but to see him do what he did against the Timberwolves with Rudy Gobert was something else. Today he has a little "revenge narrative' gave as he runs up against the Brooklyn Nets who traded him a few years back to  the Cavs.

Mid-Price NBA DFS Core Plays

Zion Williamson, PF New Orleans Pelicans

Blowouts are the worry here but if the Hawks can play some competitive basketball at home today then Zion should feast on this Atlanta front court that is still without Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu.  Williamson is coming off of a ceiling game where he scored over 50 fantasy points.

Fred VanVleet, PG Houston Rockets

This should be a fun matchup between the Rockets and Kings given the scoring potential of these two offenses. We know the Kings don't play much defense and FVV has started flashing that slate breaking upside again over the past week or so.

Josh Hart, SF New York Knicks

You can just consistently lock him into 40 minutes here and while Jalen Brunson being back will take away some of the shot volume, Hart is still showing he can fill the stat sheet. This matchup against the 76ers is a good one as Philly is still without Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

Caris LeVert, SG Cleveland Cavaliers

LeVert is the third man here with Mitchell and Mobley out of the lineup. He, like Allen, is also a former Brooklyn Net. LeVert is averaging close to 40 fantasy points per game over the last five and we've seen him with a much greater ceiling on the year.

Value-Tier NBA DFS Core Plays

Duncan Robinson, SG Miami Heat

It's easy to play Jimmy Butler or Bam Adebayo but with Tyler Herro out of the lineup we've really seen Duncan Robinson have some big games. The matchup against the Wizards is one that he could get hot early from three-point range against.

Jake LaRavia, SF Memphis Grizzlies

Dire for healthy bodies, LaRavia has thrived with his increased role in the Grizzlies rotation. With Memphis once again expected to be without a handful of rotational regulars you should be able to count on LaRavia to be on the floor for 30+ minutes today in a tough spot against the Thunder.

Isaac Okoro, SF Cleveland Cavaliers

We've talked a lot about the Cavs in today's playbook and we aren't done yet. Okoro has really taken a leap with Mitchell and Mobley out of the lineup and overall this has been his most productive season in the NBA. I'll continue to roll him out in lineups at his price if he's just going to keep making his shot attempts and filling the stat sheet.

Cole Anthony, PG Orlando Magic

Honestly, this is a bit frustrating so maybe I'm just being stubborn but with Fultz and Suggs ruled out today I had expected to see Anthony starting at point guard. Instead the Magic have opted to use Gary Harris. That said, I still think we get AT LEAST 25 minutes from Anthony here today and with the Magic in a big pace up spot, I'm hopeful he takes over when on the floor.

Georges Niang, PF Cleveland Cavaliers

The last Cavs player to talk about today is Niang. He's been starting with Mobley out of the lineup and even Dean Wade is out today. He can stretch the floor and bring a handful of rebounds as well.

Roster Lock Updates

Markelle Fultz and Jalen Suggs Ruled Out

  • Gary Harris is starting at PG / Caleb Houston starting at SG
  • I still like Cole Anthony off the bench as someone with a higher GPP Ceiling than the two above
