Notable NBA Game Totals

Top-Tier Core Plays

Nikola Jokic, C Denver Nuggets

I mean, what really needs to be said here? He is averagign 31.7 points, 12.0 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game against the Warriors this season. We are looking at a game here with a 2.5-point spread and a 230.5 game total. A high scoring, competitive game should lead to plenty of fantasy points for the top priced player on the slate.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, PG Oklahoma City Thunder

The Rockets defense has fallen off since their hot start but even when they were going good they had no answers for SGA who torched them for 33 points, three rebounds, six assists and six steals. SGA has scored 30+ actual points in four straight games and we are looking at a game where the Thunder are 6.5-point road favorites.

Victor Wembanyama, C San Antonio Spurs

Price is rising for Wemby as well it should as the Spurs rookie is coming off back-to-back games with five blocks and five steals. Of course, four games prior he had a 10 block game. He's now put up two 70+ FP games over the last four.  The Jazz, like most in the NBA, have no answer for stopping Wemby on either end of the floor.

Mid-Tier Core Plays

De'Aaron Fox, PG Sacramento Kings

We continue to be dumbfounded by the price tag that Fox is getting on DraftKings and once again we just have to shake our heads. Sure, he is a bit more expensive that he's been but he should be a $9,000+ guard, instead, today we get him at $8,200. Fox has three straight games over 50 FP and while he is a bit more expensive on FanDuel, we still can put him in lineups.

Dejounte Murray, PG/SG Atlanta Hawks

No Trae Young for the next four weeks means we will be getting a lot of Dejounte Murray ownership. Now, the Magic are not the best matchup for most teams given their solid defense and slow pace of play but the usage is going to be there for Murray and the price is only going to go up over the next few slates.

Franz Wagner, SF Orlando Magic

No Paolo Banchero today so we look to  Wagner as the likely leading option for the Magic today in a great spot against the Atlanta Hawks today in a big pace up spot for the Magic.

Deandre Ayton, C Portland Trail Blazers

Listen, it isn't too often that I'm going to be looking at Ayton but matchups against the Hornets for opposing centers continue to be fruitful and Ayton has been popping lately, with three double-doubles over the last four games.

Amen Thompson, PG/SG Houston Rockets

The rookie continues to get a good run of minutes for the Rockets and they are well deserved as he fills out the stat sheet. Though listed as a guard, Thompson has been a rebounding menace, pulling down double-digit rebounds in five of the last seven games while notching double-doubles in four of those.

Value Tier Core Plays

New Orleans Pelicans

Both Zion and Ingram are questionable and McCollum is out today for the Pelicans. We also have Jose Alvarado, Naji Marshall and Dyson Daniels out as well. Load up on the Pelicans value plays here with Jordan Hawkins, Herb Jones and Trey Murphy perfectly fine to three stack today against the Bulls.

Atlanta Hawks

No Trae Young means we should see increased usage rates here for Bogdan Bogdanovic and De'Andre Hunter with both already playing a solid role. Look for increased rotational minutes for both today.

Orlando Magic

Not having Paolo Banchero today makes a big difference. There is a good chance we see Jonathan Isaac start today but the rotation in general because a bit more interesting given the shot and usage that is available for everyone on the floor. I'd feel confident using Isaac along with Wendell Carter Jr., Markelle Fultz, Jalen Suggs and Cole Anthony in tournaments today.

Utah Jazz

Two of the highest rostered players today are on Utah with Keyonte George and Taylor Hendricks leading the way. We saw Hendricks start the other night and look good while George has been in the starting lineup for a bit. This is a good matchup for both given the poor defense of the Spurs.
