Top Tier Core Plays

Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF/C, Milwaukee Bucks

For me, on a slate like this, you want someone who can break the slate open, which is Giannis. Even against bad teams, we have seen him go for 80+ fantasy points. This game could go the direction of a blowout, so I get why you might not want to pay up for him. But if you don't play him, and he breaks the slate, you will regret it.

Stephen Curry, PG, Golden State Warriors

Chef Curry and the Warriors are taking on a surprisingly solid Utah Jazz team. This Jazz team is on the second night of a back-to-back so they could have some tired legs, and be looking ahead to the All Star break. We know how hard it is to chase Steph Curry around all of those screens, and it is even worse with tired legs. Steph has also gone for 50 DKP in four straight games as well. If this game stays close he could have a huge

Mid-Tier Core Plays

Anthony Edwards, SG/SF, Minnesota Timberwolves

We just saw this matchup a few days ago and Anthony Edwards absolutely dominated in the 12-point win. He finished with 56 DKP points while going of for 41 game points. He is questionable heading into this one with right knee soreness, and it is a good spot for him to be limited tonight right before the All Star Break. That is something to keep in mind while playing Edwards tonight

Lauri Markkanen, SF/PF, Utah Jazz

Lauri Markkanen has been quiet as of late, and the Utah Jazz are on a three-game losing streak. He has failed to score over 30 DKP points in three straight games including in one matchup against this Warriors team. With the Jazz playing a bit bigger as of late Lauri hasn't been rebounding the ball. He is averaging over 8 rebounds a game on the season and has only grabbed eight or more rebounds in two of his past five games. His price is only $8,100 on DraftKings tonight which makes him appealing, and he should be lower owned with the recent struggles.

Jerami Grant, SF/PF, Portland Trail Blazers

Jerami Grant is coming off a clunker against Minnesota in the last game. He shot just 5-17 from the field finishing with 12 game points and 20.75 DKP. He really struggled against the size of the frontcourt of the Timberwolves. What I love about Grant is he plays a ton of minutes and takes a ton of shots. He has taken at least 17 shots in three straight games, and and played at least 35 minutes in four straight games. I am going to bank on the volume from Grant tonight, and hope he gives some counting stats tonight as well.

Jonathan Kuminga, PF, Golden State Warriors

Jonathan Kuminga has arguably been the Warriors' second-best player over the past couple of weeks. In the last matchup against the Jazz, he had a quiet game scoring just 14 points and also only grabbing two rebounds. Prior to his last two games, he has scored at least 18 game points in 12 of the prior 13 games he played. I expect him to get back on track tonight, and have a big game alongside Steph Curry.

Scoot Henderson, PG, Portland Trail Blazers

Scoot Henderson is under-priced tonight sitting at just $5,800 on DraftKings. He has played at least 33 minutes in three straight games and has scored at least 28 fantasy points in each. If you expand out to his last five games he has gone over 2 fantasy points per minute in three of those contests. Plus, his usage rate has been over 28% over four of his last five. We are in the midst of the rookie year breakout from Scoot.

Value Tier Core Plays

Walker Kessler, C, Utah Jazz

With the Jazz fully healthy now we have seen them starting Walker Kessler, John Collins and Lauri Markkanen together. He is getting a consistent 25+ minutes a night to be just a defensive menace. We know this man is a great shot blocker, but he is on another planet right now. He has blocked at least three shots in seven straight games, including four of those games he had four blocks. That just gives him an outstanding floor each night and is in play tonight.

GG Jackson, PF, Memphis Grizzlies

After serving a one-game suspension, GG picked up right where he left off. In just 24 minutes he finished with 38.25 DKP. What I love the most about Jackson is he will play even in a blowout, and he is not shy by any means. Jackson will most likely be highly owned because the price is so good sitting under 5K.

Keyonte George, PG, Utah Jazz

Keyonte George is the starting point guard for this Jazz team is just $4,700 on DraftKings in a good matchup. This man has scored over 30 DKP points in three of his past five games. We did see one game where the floor completely fell out against the Warriors in the last outing, but I expect him to bounce back tonight and 5x his value.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker, SG/SF, Minnesota Timberwolves

Alexander-Walker is priced at just $3,700 which is outstanding. This lockdown defender has played 25 minutes in three straight games and has scored at least 28 DKP in back-to-back games, one of which came against the Trail Blazers. By putting him in your lineup you get great flexibility in other parts of your lineup. Also if Anthony Edwards happens to sit tonight, he could get more run.
