FANation, we are back, baby! Welcome to the second half of the NBA season, as well as another edition of the Fantasy Alarm NBA DFS Value Vault! Only six games on tap for tonight in the Association, but feel there is already plenty of value to be had!
DRAFTKINGS
Daniel Gafford, PF/C CHI ($3,000)- Gafford has been reported to be a “Full-Go,” and should at least see his regular 20-22 minutes off the bench, IF he doesn’t claim the starting Center spot from Cristiano Felicio tonight at home against the Hornets. This is a great spot, and even if Gafford comes off the bench, at minimum price, we are looking for 15 DK fantasy points here for value. The Bulls are still without both Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr., and have really been pushed to resort to Felicio in the absences. Gafford is a very good young talent, and he should be in line to get some nice playing time, hopefully beginning tonight.
Jordan Poole, PG/SG GSW ($4,000)- Poole has been seeing nice run over the Warrior’s last four or five games, as he has now seen 23, 27, 31, and 32 minutes over that span. He hasn’t exactly been uber-productive fantasy-wise, however, in a game with a 234 total, and playing a team that doesn’t play much defense in the Rockets, Poole at this price seems like nice vale. Likely more of a cash value for me, than a GPP dart. Poole has put up 22.3, 22.5,29.0, and 29.5 DK points over his last four as well, so he has been quite consistent as well, shooting at least 11+ FGAs in all four, grabbing two or more boards, dishing two or more dimes, and totaling five steals over that span also.
Josh Richardson, SG/SF PHI ($4,200)- This is just an insane price on DK for JRich, and the price-makers absolutely slept in after a drunken night on this one, as he is $5k on FanDuel. However, we will absolutely take the plug-and-play here as the Nets come to Philly, AND it was just uncannily reported that Ben Simmons is now questionable to play after no injury designation. Richardson played two games before the all-star break, and saw only 15 minutes in the return game, and then jumped right back to 32 minutes in the last game before the break. He amassed a 33.8 DK fantasy point effort in that game as well, going for 21 points, five boards, an assist, and two swats. Too cheap not to play on DK tonight.
FANDUEL
Kent Bazemore, SF SAC ($3,800)- Really like his DK price a bit better at $3.5k, but I don’t mind the small price-hike on FD for Baze tonight. This game has already seen the total jump over two full points from 227.5 to 229.5, and with the Grizz being the 6th fastest team in the league, this is a nice pace-up spot for the Kings at home. Baze has played 24 or more minutes in his last four of five contests, while also putting up 26.9, 24.6, 23, and 17.7 FD points over those four. He has recorded at least 8 or more actual in his last four of six games, while grabbing at least four or more rebounds in his last five of six, also has totaled three blocks and five steals over his last five contests as well. The Grizz just shipped of Jae Crowder to the Heat, so this could be a nice soft spot for him tonight as well on the 2nd unit.
Duncan Robinson, SG MIA ($4,200)- We want DRob on DK for his 3-point upside, however, he is $600 cheaper on FD, and feel like with having to choose two SGs, he can be a nice spend-down over there as well. Duncan should continue to see nice minutes with the Heat still missing Tyler Hero, as he has now played 33 or more minutes in his last six straight, while putting up FD point totals of 25.7, 22.7, 32.7, 31, and 25.9 over his last five contests as well. He really doesn’t do just a whole ton on the defensive end, but he is putting up double-digit scoring efforts, with five of his last six seeing at least 17 or more actual, and has shown he can grab a few boards with five or more in his last three of five, and lastly, at least three or more assists in his last five of six as well.
Coby White, PG CHI ($4,600)- Will take the smaller, not by much at all, but smaller price on White here as well. White has been pretty good against the Hornets this season, seeing them three times already, averaging a modest 24.5% usage, 27.3 mpg, 16.0 ppg, 2.7 rpg, and 4.3 apg. We can couple these good head-to-head numbers with the fact that he has seen at least 24 or more minutes in his last five straight for the Bulls. Fresh off a 41.5 FD point effort against the Wizards, where he recorded a season high in steals at four. He has the steals upside as well, and has recorded five or more boards in his last three, while also dishing at least five or more dimes in his last three of four. Nice value on Coby here tonight.
