What's up FANation today's Starting Five being brought to you in article form due to some technical difficulties so bare with me here and expect the videos to return for the next slate. Let's jump into tonight's Starting Five to build those NBA DFS lineups around!
Point Guard
Eric Bledsoe , PG NO - Boasting one of the best matchups on the board already, Bledsoe will benefit from the Pelicans playing without four rotational players tonight with Lonzo Ball , Zion Williamson , Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart all ruled out. He played 45 minutes the other night against the Magic and is insanely cheap on FD at just $5,200 going up against a Hawks team that just played a double-overtime game the night before. This game has ceiling oppurtunity written all over it for Bledsoe.
Shooting Guard
Andrew Wiggins , SG GSW - When Stephen Curry was out of the lineup we saw Wiggins take control with some massive fantasy outputs and with Curry once again sitting due to his injured tailbone it only makes sense to run back to the Wiggins well. He draws a great matchup against the Raptors who struggle defensively and will also be shorthanded with Kyle Lowry out of today's lineup. Wiggins has gone for at least 38 FP in four straight games.
Small Forward
OG Anunoby , SF TOR - I keep telling you all to play OG and hopefully you have been listening as he has given us now at least 30 FP in seven straight games with a high of 47 FP last time out against the Thunder. Anunoby has double-doubles in two of the last three games as well. With Norman Powell now in Portland and Kyle Lowry out of the lineup due to injury there are more shots to go around and Anunoby is capitalizing on that oppurtunity.
Power Forward
Giannis Antetokounmpo , PF MIL - Listen, I don't blame you for being a little worried as it has now been four straight games for Giannis with less than 45 FP. You can't pay $11,000 for a man not get less than 45 FP those are just the facts. That said, this is a perfect matchup for him and while the ceiling hasn't been there, he still gave us a double-double against the Lakers and scored 32 actual against the Clippers. Let's hope recent play keeps the draft percentages low here and we get a breakout performance from Giannis here in a high scoring matchup against the Blazers.
Center
Robert Williams , C BOS - Little bit of a homer pick here being a Celtics fan but I love that TimeLord is getting the starting minutes now and he has produced for DFS players since given the promotion. He is an elite shock blocker and rebounder that is also efficient around the rim and can even hit free throws as well. The price point is nice and if you are looking for a mid-tier option why not attack the Rockets who do not play a lick of defense. There is a high floor and high ceiling with this play which is exactly what we are looking for with our GPPs.
