CPT/MVP
1.) Kawhi Leonard SF (LAC) $16,500 –
Kawhi is the top-priced player for tonight’s showdown slate and for good reason. Leonard has averaged roughly 50 fantasy points over his last three games while carrying a 25.7% usage rate for that span, as well. Not to mention the three-straight double-doubles he has recorded in that span to boot, along with nearly eight assists on average, and 1.5 steals. Really like Kawhi in this spot here tonight for mostly all obvious reasons.
2.) Paul George SG (LAC) $14,400 –
PG13 torched the Blazers in his last time on the floor to the tune of 36 actual, three boards, five assists, a steal and a block spread out across 34 minutes of action. George bounced-back nicely after a couple of mid-30 fantasy point efforts and has accrued at least 47 or more fantasy points in three of his last five games played, while carrying a team-leading usage of 29.0% for the last five, as well. If you want to go a bit cheaper at the CPT/MVP spot, I think I am all in on Clippers here in this one.
3.) Devin Booker SG (PHO) $15,900 –
I like Booker as my favorite Sun tonight and believe he is the top scorer for the Suns. Booker has been on quite the tear lately, as he has now topped 43 fantasy points in six of his last eight contests played. He is averaging 44.4 fantasy points over his last five road games, while playing an average of 34 minutes per outing to boot. He leads the team in usage over this last five road games as well a 31.5%.
MID-TIER
1.) Chris Paul PG (PHO) $10,000 –
CP3 has also played really well lately but I think with 20 minutes of madman Beverley on him, it may slow his production a smidge. However, Paul has gone for 46 or more fantasy points over his last four-straight games, while carrying a 20.6% usage over his last five road contests. Feel like he still has 35+ fantasy point potential here even in a bad match up.
2.) Deandre Ayton C (PHO) $8,000 –
Ayton has put up back-to-back 45+ fantasy point games while securing double-doubles in both with five total blocks and two steals. He had been in a bit of a rut before the bounce-back contests, and hopefully he carries over tonight the nice production he has recorded over the past two games. The Clippers are still without Ibaka, and Cousins only played seven minutes in his first game with the Clippers. Believe Ayton has decent potential tonight to grab another double-double here.
DARTS
1.) Patrick Beverley PG (LAC) $4,000 –
Most aren’t even going to look Beverley’s way tonight know he is still going to be limited. He did play 20 minutes against the Blazers and put up 20.5 fantasy points as a result. At his extremely cheap price tonight, we aren’t really asking him to do much here and if he gets 20+ fantasy points, that will be a win in my book. He is a dart, but we could even see him play 22-23 mins in his second game back.
2.) Cameron Johnson SF/PF (PHO) $3,400 –
Johnson played 37 huge minutes last time out against the Jazz in a very close game and has now topped 20 fantasy points in three-straight contests. He has scored in double-figures in all three, grabbed an average of four boards, with a steal in all three games. As long as he continues to get good minutes off the bench, he will continue to have decent stand-alone value at his cheap price.
3.) DeMarcus Cousins C (LAC) $1,400 –
Just sheer price alone here on Cousins, we have to consider him as a dart. Cousins only played 7 minutes in his debut after signing a ten-day contract with the Clippers. In those short seven minutes, he was still able to accumulate 14.5 fantasy points with seven points, four boards, and two assists. That game ended up being a slight blow-out, and this could easily be the reason he didn’t see many minutes. I think Cousins could likely be a steal here tonight if he gets a little more run.
