I managed to create a DraftKings lineup made up entirely of players in this Position Coach that included James Harden and Russell Westbrook. I don’t necessarily recommend that approach, but I don’t hate this lineup. Tuesday’s slate of four games seems a lot more conducive to a lineup full of midpriced guys, especially for cash games, but there are just enough cheap guys who are reasonably productive that if you wanted to grab the two studs and hope for a triple-double or two, I don’t have much of a problem with it.

That being said, if you are going to pay up at any position, it will mostly likely be point guard or center, unless you play Harden. The more expensive small forwards are fine, but so are the cheaper ones, and there aren’t any expensive power forwards.

Point Guard

Now that Miami is healthy on the wing, Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic are back to being the only Miami players you can trust for DFS. The Thunder have allowed the most fantasy points to point guards among the teams playing Tuesday, so Dragic should be pretty safe.

With only four games on the slate, you could be hard-pressed to field a competitive lineup if you fade both Russell Westbrook and James Harden. With Harden playing the second of a back-to-back, Westbrook could be worth the extra money you have to spend.

Shelvin Mack is averaging 15.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the two games Dante Exum has missed, and he should continue to play at a high level while Exum and George Hill are out.

Shooting Guard

While Westbrook may be more rested, James Harden plays a weaker position, and his opponent played Monday as well.

With such a weak shooting guard position, a safe player like Avery Bradley feels like a security blanket, especially for cash games. Bradley has t least 11 points and three rebounds in every game this season. His floor is extremely high, and his price is not.

I do not understand why Seth Curry’s price remains so low. He is averaging 11.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.3 steals over his last eight games, and I would much rather plug Curry into my lineup than have to trust somebody like Nick Young.

Small Forward

Boston hosts an old Memphis team that played in Orlando Monday, and one of the best ways to take advantage of that matchup is with Jae Crowder. Crowder is nearly as safe as Avery Bradley and his position is nearly as weak. Crowder has scored at least 12 points in seven of his last eight games.

Speaking of safe, Harrison Barnes has at least 15 points in 10 consecutive games. No team in Tuesday’s slate has allowed as many fantasy points to small forwards as the Rockets.

Andre Roberson is like the Seth Curry of small forwards. He has been solid for a couple of weeks now, but his price is still quite low. Roberson’s point totals are never impressive, but he provides a little production across the board, averaging 7.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.7 blocks since Victor Oladipo went out.

Power Forward

Montrezl Harrell has scored at least 14 points in each of his three starts since Clint Capela went down. His price is rising, especially on DraftKings, but he is a nice play at a weak position.

Julius Randle has the highest ceiling of any power forward in Tuesday’s slate, and it isn’t particularly close. I will make an effort to put Randle in at least one GPP lineup, because if he gets his third career triple-double he will almost certainly make you a lot of money. Randle had 13 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in 31 minutes Sunday, and he should continue to play at least that much while Larry Nance Jr. is out.

I don’t necessarily want to go all the way down to Amir Johnson, especially when Montrezl Harrell costs the same on FanDuel, but Johnson is a nice value on DraftKings. Johnson is averaging 10.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 24.5 minutes per game over the last week.

Center

Among teams playing Tuesday, only the Lakers have allowed more fantasy points to centers than the Heat. Steven Adams is coming off his third 20-point game of the season Sunday, and I like his chances at a double-double against Miami.

Speaking of double-doubles, Rudy Gobert began his streak of 10 consecutive double-doubles against these same Lakers three weeks ago. Gobert is averaging 13.5 points, 15.0 rebounds and 4.5 blocks in two games against the Lakers this season.

As good and safe as Gobert has been, he does not have Hassan Whiteside’s ceiling. Whiteside is averaging 20.3 points and 16.9 rebounds over the last two weeks, making him the top candidate to anchor your lineup if you fade Harden and Westbrook.
