Sunday in the NBA and there are eight games today. None will be nationally televised, there are several expected blowouts but a few close lines on the spread. The Phoenix Suns at New York Knicks have an interesting spread and moneyline, but everything hinges on if Kevin Durant plays or does not play. For that reason, it is advised to stay away from that game. Today’s Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets, have a narrative of a ‘get right’ game. The first full month of the NBA is coming to a close and teams are experiencing injuries, and managing their players playing time. Some players are averaging over thirty minutes a game, and volume leads to opportunity which is one of the most important factors in determining a bet. Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves play against the Memphis Grizzlies. A prop which he has covered eight times this month seems like a steal of a proposition bet. Michael Porter Jr. and the Denver Nuggets host the San Antonio Spurs, and a same game parlay will be made in the Western Conference showdown.

BET OF THE DAY

ANTHONY EDWARDS OVER 4.5 ASSISTS (-135 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves were embarrassed by the Sacramento Kings Friday. They had a huge loss at home, and lost control of the West Group C for the In-Season Tournament. Tonight they play the 3-12 Memphis Grizzlies, which give up several points, assists, and rebounds. As stated this is a ‘get right’ game for the Timberwoles who are 10-2 in the month. Anthony Edwards has five or more assists in his last three games, and has gone over this prop in eight games this month. As great as Jaren Jackson Jr. is defensively he and the Memphis Grizzlies will not have a defensive answer for both Karl-Anthony Towns or Rudy Gobert. It will be an easy pass to either of those guys on penetration drives, and fast breaks for Anthony Edwards. Depending on game flow, this prop could hit before halftime.

SAME GAME PARLAY

DENVER NUGGETS (ML), MICHAEL PORTER JR 18+ POINTS & MICHAEL PORTER JR 3+ THREES MADE (+102)

This is a teased down same game parlay favoring Michael Porter Jr. (MPJ) and Denver. There is no money on the moneyline and the spread is too high, even for the Mile High City. Denver is playing the first of back-to-back games, but they are thankful to be back at Ball Arena. The Denver Nuggets are undefeated at home (7-0), while a dismal 3-6 on the road. Only the Dallas Mavericks have played more road games in the Western Conference. The San Antonio Spurs are the worst team in the Western Conference and have only beaten the Phoenix Suns on the road. A Denver win should come despite how bad the Nuggets have been playing. Michael Porter Jr, has been playing well this month. He rarely gets any assists, and is asked to be a scoring force, particularly with Jamal Murray out. MPJ’s three’s made line is set at 3.5, and he could cover it, but it has been teased down to three made simply to remove the hook. MPJ has made three or more threes in seven games this season. His point line has also been teased down from 18.5 to 18, simply to remove the hook. The Spurs allow the 11th most points to forwards this season, and Denver is in great need of a ‘get right’ game as they have dropped four of their last five, and scored a season low 86 points in their last game against the Houston Rockets. MPJ should take advantage of poor defensive play and is taller than the tall San Antonio Spurs.
