NBA Waiver Wire Ahead Of Week 19 Games: Caris LeVert, Kyle Filipowski

We’ve had some earth-shattering NBA injuries take place lately, primarily with Jaren Jackson and Jalen Brunson, that have opened up the door for some really electric fantasy basketball waiver wire picks.
Let’s jump into some of the top fantasy basketball waiver wire picks for this week’s NBA waiver wire report as we’re gearing up for the fantasy basketball postseason!
Fantasy Basketball Week 19 Waiver Wire
Quentin Grimes, Philadelphia 76ers - 46% Rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy
It won’t be much longer that Quentin Grimes is still under 50% rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy because despite Philadelphia claiming they’re not shutting down Paul George and Tyrese Maxey, that’s coming. That’s basically what they’re doing.
Grimes has played 33 minutes in four straight games and three of four of he’s scored double-figure points, six-plus rebounds, and has been a consistent contributor in the assist and stocks category too. Grimes’ development for the remainder of the year is a plus for Philly.
Caris LeVert, Atlanta Hawks - 35% Rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy
I really like Caris LeVert’s role since joining the team and has consistently resulted in plus production. He’s scored 20-plus actual points in four of five and 15 or more in six of seven. He’s also been providing at least two assists and rebounds in all but one game.
He’s basically closing every game for the Hawks too, notching 27-plus minutes in seven consecutive games. With the Hawks playing for something – and going to be in the play-in tournament – LeVert’s minutes will remain upwards of 30.
Kyle Filipowski, Utah Jazz - 34% Rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy
The Utah Jazz are in full tank mode and have consistently given Walker Kessler and John Collins time out. Walker Kessler is missing his fourth game over his last eight due to rest as they try and improve their draft stock.
Kyle Filipowsi has been an absolute stud in fantasy in EVERY one of those games and even recently when Kessler has played, scored 25 points and eight rebounds in one of them and posted a 17-5-3-2 stat line with Kessler grabbing 25 boards in the same game. His fantasy value isn’t tied directly to Kessler, but will continue to elevated when he sits.
Brandon Clarke, Memphis Grizzlies - 19% Rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy
Until Jaren Jackson returns to the floor, Brandon Clarke is a must-own option. He’s been extended for at least 26 minutes in each of the last two games and has been great while on the floor. He has scored 13-plus points and eight or more rebounds.
In fact, the scoring has been up in the first place as he’s scored 11 or more in five straight games. He’s going to be extended because Jackson’s out, Aldama is banged up too, and they close smaller despite starting Zach Edey, which also benefits Clarke.
Miles McBride, New York Knicks - 17% Rostered on Yahoo! Fantasy
With Jalen Brunson suffering a severe ankle issue, Miles McBride is going to enter the fold as the team’s starter until Brunson returns. The minutes McBride has the upside for are endless playing under Tom Thibodeau.
McBride isn’t a high usage player but is a guy who may average 40 minutes per game as a starter and at .9 FP/min, that would be great nightly production while you wait for Brunson to come back.
