NBA Injury Report Week 14

Michael Porter, Forward, Brooklyn Nets: Ankle

Michael Porter missed Sunday’s game but it is not expected to be serious. However it is a situation worth monitoring, but it could be that the Nets are playing in back-to-back games.

Jose Alvarado, Guard, New Orleans Pelicans: Oblique

Jose Alvarado is dealing with an oblique injury that has kept him out for over a week. It looks like it will be longer.

Ja’Kobe Walter, Guard/Forward, Toronto Raptors: Hip

Ja’Kobe Walter was mentioned as a spot start in last week’s waiver wire additions. He was injured in the first six minutes of week 13, and is now on the injury report.

Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Week 14

Max Christie, SG/SF, Dallas Mavericks: Rostered in 28% of Fleaflicker Leagues

Max Christie continues to have great games despite the Dallas Mavericks not playing well. He missed two games last week, and could have been dropped due to it. Cooper Flagg is injured, and Christie is averaging over 30 minutes per game. He has scored 10 or more points in every game this month, and is a great addition due to dual position eligibility.

Miles McBride, Guard, New York Knicks: Rostered in 24% of Fleaflicker Leagues

Miles McBride missed several games in December, and has flown under the radar due to it. He’s available in over 75% of fantasy basketball leagues, and is a player that should be rostered. He has scored 23 or more points in his two most recent games, and has double-digit scoring in 10 of 11 games since returning from injury. Pick him up off of the waiver wire for week 14.

Sam Hauser, Forward, Boston Celtics: Rostered in 15% of FleaFlicker Leagues

Hauser is a popular name amongst hoop heads, and Boston Celtics fanatics, but he’s not utilized for fantasy basketball. He’s available in most leagues, and he has been playing better. He is averaging over 30 minutes per game in his last five matches. He has scored 30, 19, and 17 points in that stretch. He has also recorded 24 total rebounds in those games. Pick him up off of the week 14 waiver wire, and have a depth piece going forward.

Jamal Shead, Point Guard, Toronto Raptors: Rostered in 6% of Sleeper Leagues

Ja’Kobe Walter was mentioned last week because the Raptors are dealing with a list of injuries… Walter added to the list of injuries. That has forced Jamal Shead into more playing time, and he has excelled. He has played 30 or more minutes in the Raptors last 4 matches. He put up a double-double with 15 points and 13 assists in their most recent match. For teams in need of a spot start at point guard, Shead should be a top priority. Put a week 14 bid on him.

Jordan Miller, SG/SF, Los Angeles Clippers: Rostered in 5% of Sleeper Leagues

Jordan Miller is surging in fantasy basketball. He is one of the top five most added players on Sleeper, and for good reason. He has outscored most free agents over the past week. He comes off the bench, but played 33 and 45 minutes in the most recent matches. He has played 27 or more minutes in five consecutive games, and stuffs the stat sheet with points, assists, rebounds, and steals. Pick up Miller for a deep dive on the week 14 waiver wire.
