We have seen important fantasy basketball injury news break over the weekend that will affect some big-name players, especially on teams like the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and Phoenix Suns. Here are the latest NBA injuries for week 8 of the fantasy basketball season.

NBA Point Guard Injury News

Ben Simmons, PG, Brooklyn Nets (Back/Hip)

Ben Simmons had an epidural injection in his back and he will be out for at least two weeks. Before he is re-evaluated at that time, Dennis Smith Jr. and Spencer Dinwiddie will soak up those minutes. 

Markelle Fultz, PG, Orlando Magic (Knee)

Markelle Fultz is Out for Monday's game with a knee injury and Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs are taking most of the minutes. 

Gabe Vincent, PG, Los Angeles Lakers (Knee)

Gabe Vincent continues to sit with a knee injury and his status for Week 8 is unknown as of Monday morning. 

Marcus Smart, PG, Memphis Grizzlies (Foot)

Marcus Smart has been making progress on his injured foot, but he has been ruled out for Monday's game against Dallas. Derrick Rose will continue to fill in. 

Chris Paul, PG, Golden State Warriors (Illness)

Chris Paul managed a leg injury but then missed Friday's game with an illness. He is Day-to-Day ahead of Week 8. 

Kyrie Irving, PG, Dallas Mavericks (Heel)

Kyrie Irving was diagnosed with a contusion on his right heel. As of Monday morning, he does not have a timetable for his return. Look for Dante Exum and Tim Hardaway Jr. to get more minutes.

Dennis Smith Jr., PG, Brooklyn Nets (Back)

Dennis Smith Jr. has been ruled out of Monday night's game with a back injury. 

Jamal Murray, PG, Denver Nuggets (Ankle)

Jamal Murray suffered a minor ankle injury after returning from his lengthy ankle injury. But he is probably to play in Monday's game against Atlanta. 

Andrew Nembhard, PG, Indiana Pacers (Knee)

Backup Andrew Nembhard suffered a knee injury that will be re-evaluated in one week. He should be considered out for Week 8. 

Jalen Brunson, PG, New York Knicks (Ankle)

Jalen Brunson suffered an ankle injury late last week, and he is Questionable for Monday's game against Toronto. Immanuel Quickley and Quentin Grimes would fill in those minutes if Brunson misses time. 

Malcolm Brogdon, PG, Portland Trail Blazers (Knee)

Malcolm Brogdon is battling a knee injury and is considered day-to-day to start Week 8. Scoot Henderson is waiting and ready if Brogdon should have to miss any time. 

Kyle Lowry, PG, Miami Heat (Back)

Kyle Lowry was a late addition to the injury report and he is now listed as Questionable for Monday night's game. 

NBA Shooting Guard Injury News

Bradley Beal, SG, Phoenix Suns (Back)

Bradley Beal is targeting Tuesday night for making his season debut with the Phoenix Suns. It should mark the first time all season each member of the Suns' new Big Three will play together. 

Tyler Herro, SG, Miami Heat (Ankle)

Tyler Herro is still battling his ankle injury and has been ruled out of Monday's game against Charlotte. Duncan Robinson should continue to play big minutes for the short-handed Heat. 

Alex Caruso, SG, Chicago Bulls (Ankle)

Alex Caruso did not practice over the weekend and is Questionable with an ankle injury for Monday's game against Milwaukee. 

Zach LaVine, SG, Chicago Bulls (Foot)

LaVine received an injection in his right foot Thursday and won't travel with the Bulls for their upcoming road trip. Fantasy managers should not count on him for this week and his role might be filled by Caruso or Jevon Carter.

Gary Payton II, SG, Golden State Warriors (Calf)

Gary Payton remains out but is close to being re-evaluated for his calf injury. 

Anthony Edwards, SG, Minnesota Timberwolves (Hip)

Anthony Edwards still has nagging hip pain from the fall he took last week, and he is listed as Questionable for Monday's game against New Orleans. 

Luguentz Dort, SG, Oklahoma City Thunder, (Ankle)

Lu Dort sprained his ankle and is officially Questionable for Monday's game against the Utah Jazz

Caris LeVert, SG, Cleveland Cavaliers (Knee)

Caris LeVert has been battling injuries all season, and he has already been ruled out for Monday's contest with a knee injury. Issac Okoro and Georges Niang are picking up those minutes. 

Pat Connaughton, SG, Milwaukee Bucks (Ankle)

Pay Connaughton has an ankle injury and will not play on Monday night against Chicago. 

Jalen Suggs, SG, Orland Magic (Ankle)

Jalen Suggs is questionable for Monday's matchup against Cleveland due to an ankle injury. Already missing Markelle Fultz, Cole Anthony would play a lot of minutes if Suggs is out. 

Grayson Allen, SG, Phoenix Suns (Groin)

Grayson Allen did not practice over the weekend because of a groin injury and is day-to-day ahead of an official injury status. 

Malik Monk, SG, Sacramento Kings (Illness)

Malik Monk is Questionable for Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets due to an illness.

Jonathan Isaac, SF, Orlando Magic (Ankle)

Jonathan Isaac's ankle injury has him listed as Questionable for Monday's game against Cleveland.

De'Andre Hunter, SF,  Atlanta Hawks (Quad)

De'Andre Hunter is experiencing right quadriceps soreness and is listed as Questionable for Monday's game against Denver. 

Dillon Brooks, SF, Houston Rockets (Illness)

Dillon Brooks is dealing with an illness that has him listed as Questionable for Monday's game, but all signs point to him being able to play as of Monday morning. 

Aaron Nesmith, SF, Indiana Pacers (Hip)

Aaron Nesmith is Questionable for Monday's game against the Pistons due to a right hip bruise.

Nassir Little, SF, Indiana Pacers (Concussion/Eye)

Nassir Little is in concussion protocol and is dealing with an orbital fracture. He is day-to-day as of Monday, but it should be expected that he will miss some time. 

Jerami Grant, SF, Portland Trail Blazers (Concussion)

Jerami Grant won't travel with the team to Los Angeles because of lingering concussion effects and has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Clippers. Toumani Camara has been getting minutes in that role recently. 

NBA Power Forward Injury News

Maxi Kleber, PF, Dallas Mavericks (Toe)

Maxi Kleber did not play on Friday and he remains Out with no timetable for return with his toe injury. 

Jaden McDaniels, PF, Minnesota Timberwolves (Ankle)

Jaden McDaniels is Questionable for Monday's matchup in New Orleans with an ankle injury.

Lauri Markkanen, PF, Utah Jazz (Hamstring)

Lauri Markkanen continues to have problems with his hamstring and he is listed as Out for Monday night's game against Oklahoma City. Ochai Agbaji is the fill-in for now. 

Jalen Smith, PF, Indiana Pacers (Heel)

Jalen Smith has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Pistons as he tries to return from a heel injury.

Evan Mobley, PF, Cleveland Cavaliers (Knee)

Evan Mobley will miss Monday's game with a knee injury and it looks like Dean Wade could be a candidate to fill in front-court minutes Mobley is absent. 

Grant Williams, PF, Dallas Mavericks (Knee)

Grant Williams will miss another game on Monday with his knee injury. In his absence, the Mavericks have started Derrick Jones Jr. next to Dereck Lively in the front-court.

Kevin Durant, PF, Phoenix Suns (Ankle)

Kevin Durant (ankle) didn't practice Sunday with an ankle injury and he is considered day-to-day to start this week. When Durant hasn't played, Josh Okogie has stepped up his minutes. 

John Collins, PF, Utah Jazz (Illness)

John Collins was a late addition to the injury report on Monday as he is battling an illness. 

NBA Center Injury News

Wendell Carter Jr., C, Orlando Magic (Hand)

Wendell Carter fractured a finger at the end of Week 2 and underwent surgery to repair the injury. Carter did not play on Friday night, but he is nearing a return and could be activated sometime in the next week. He is officially Out for Monday night.  

Bam Adebayo, C, Miami Heat (Hip)

While he is traveling with the team this week, Bam Adebayo will Monday night with his hip injury. Orlando Robinson has filled in while Adebayo misses time. 

Joel Embiid, C, Philadelphia 76ers (Knee)

Joel Embiid is Questionable for Monday's matchup against Washington with a minor knee injury. As of Monday morning, his status is up in the air and Paul Reed would fill in if the MVP misses the game. 

Jalen Duren, C, Detroit Pistons (Ankle)

The Pistons announced Tuesday that Duren will be re-evaluated in two weeks after he suffered a left ankle sprain against the Grizzlies.

Mitchell Robinson, C, New York Knicks (Ankle)

Mitchell Robinson suffered an ankle injury and will now miss another game on Monday night Isaiah Hartenstein is the pickup for fantasy if looking for fill those minutes. 

Deandre Ayton, C, Portland Trail Blazers (Knee)

Deandre Ayton and his knee injury are considered day-to-day ahead of Monday's matchup with the LA Clippers.

Walker Kessler, C, Utah Jazz (Foot)

Walker Kessler has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Thunder due to right foot soreness. It looks like it will be Kelly Olynyk time again to start the week. 

Daniel Gafford, C, Washington Wizards (Hip)

Daniel Gafford is Questionable for Monday's game against the 76ers due to a right hip contusion.
