Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant
The Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant provides you daily recommendations in a four tiered format, with specific targets for GPP tournaments (Guaranteed Prize Payout tournaments) and separate players that may be more geared towards Double Up (DU) contests. It does not mean they are only worth playing in said format, just that I like them in that type of format a little more.

Daily Dandies
For those of you checking out my recommendations for the first time, I group the players in A,B,C,D Tiers as a play on the old A,B,C,D basketball camps and as an easy way to distinguish player tiers. (All prices are according to Draft Street). If you have any specific questions post them in the comments section and I will answer them asap or send me a tweet by clicking on my twitter handle at the top of this article. A-All Star priced players that should put up All Star stats today (target 35+ FP, $15,000-on up).
GPP
* G Kyle Lowry (16.2%) has scored 38 and 45.25 FP in his last two games, is shooting about 10% better on the road than at home, and gets a tasty matchup versus the depleted Knicks backcourt tonight.
* F Tyreke Evans (15.6%) is coming off his best Fantasy performance of the season (50.5 FP), has scored 30-plus FP in each of his last three games since returning from his injury, and could get the start tonight if Eric Gordon is ruled out due to a hip injury.
DU
* G Eric Bledsoe (15.6%) went for 40-plus FP in his last game against the Warriors and has scored 36-plus FP in each of his last two games.
* G John Wall (17.8%) has been a beast this season as he is in the top 10 with almost 35 FP per game and he gets to be guarded by, or attempted to be guarded by, Ricky Rubio tonight.
B-rated Ballers: Big name players with big games, but not as high of a price tag as the top five or so priced players at each position (around 30 FP, $12,000-$15,000).
GPP
* G DeMar DeRozan (12.8%) is third in the NBA in minutes per game, 16th in the league in points per game, and is facing a Knicks team that is allowing the seventh most points per game to shooting guards the last 15 days.
DU
* F Derrick Favors (13.3%) has scored close to or above 30 FP in four of his last five games and will be facing an injury depleted Lakers team tonight.
C-as in players that COULD be in line to provide you with good to great value in the mid-tier price range (target 25+ FP, $8,000-$12,000).
GPP
* C J.J. Hickson (11.5%) should play plenty of power forward tonight, (especially if Kenneth Faried misses tonight’s game), against a Pelicans team that has allowed the third most FP over the last 15 days. If Faried is out and you do not think J.J. is a dynamite pick then consider his teammate Timofey Mozgov who will cost you $1,000 less.
* F Jordan Hill (10.2%) Pau Gasol did not travel with the team, thus Hill should be in line for some extra minutes tonight against the Jazz, JHill has scored 30-plus FP in the last two games where he has played more than 20 minutes.
DU
* G Bradley Beal (10.9%) has had five days off to try and find his shot, which he should be able to do against a TWolves team that is allowing the fourth most FP to shooting guards over the last 15 days.
* F Ryan Anderson (11.1%) could get the start tonight if Jason Smith is out again with a sore knee, and even if Smith plays his minutes will likely be limited. The Nuggets are allowing the fourth most Fantasy Points to power forwards over the last 15 days.
D-Discounted Dandies: Players on the cheap whose production may exceed what their discounted price tag suggests. (Double Digit Fantasy Production, $3,500-$8,000).
GPP
* C Chris Kaman (8.3%) the Kaveman’s Per 36 Minutes stats are 16.2 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and almost two blocks and while he will not play 36 minutes tonight, he will get the start at center with Pau Gasol sidelined tonight.
* G Terrence Ross (6.5%) is a risky play on sites like DraftStreet where a player is penalized for missing shots, but at this price he is worth considering with the increased minutes he is seeing since the Rudy Gay trade.
DU
* C Andrea Bargnani (8%) I prescribe to the rule of thumb that if a player is taking on their former team they are usually worth owning. Just look at what DeJuan Blair did not his former employer last night (35-plus FP). Bargs will put this theory to the test tonight as he has not reached 20 Fantasy Points in his last four games. On the flip side, Bargs lack of recent production has caused his price to fall drastically making it easier for him to meet or exceed his value tonight against the Raptors. If you are not buying this bag of goods, than consider Tyson Chandler (13.2%) as there should be plenty of rebounding opportunities as both the Knicks and the Raptors are among the top-10 worst shooting teams in the league.
Best of Luck tonight, and if you have any Fantasy Hoops questions, either Daily or Season long, leave them in the comments section below.
