Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant
The Daily Fantasy Basketball Du-Rant provides you daily recommendations in a four tiered format, with specific targets for GPP tournaments (Guaranteed Prize Payout tournaments) and separate players that may be more geared towards Double Up (DU) contests. It does not mean they are only worth playing in said format, just that I like them in that type of format a little more. (Since there are only five games this evening will skip separating the picks into GPP/DU segments and just provide you with some players that have the potential to meet or exceed their value tonight).
Daily Dandies
For those of you checking out my recommendations for the first time, I group the players in A,B,C,D Tiers as a play on the old A,B,C,D basketball camps and as an easy way to distinguish player tiers. (All prices are according to Draft Street). If you have any specific questions post them in the comments section and I will answer them asap or send me a tweet by clicking on my twitter handle at the top of this article. To see who is starting each night visit our NBA Lineups Page
A-All Star priced players that should put up All Star stats today (target 35+ FP, $16,000-on up).
GPP
Joakim Noah (17.3%) streak of double-digit rebounds continue and he has posted 35-plus FP in all but one game since January 17th. Some owners may shy away from Noah as there are some other enticing options at the center position tonight that come at a cheaper price tag and rumors are that DeMarcus Cousins may return to action tonight (that does nto change my opinion at all though).
DU
Carmelo Anthony (18.5%) is facing a horrendous Bucks team, which should help him get back to the 40-plus fantasy point production he was ball'n out at prior to his last two games.
B-rated Ballers: Big name players with big games, but not as high of a price tag as the top five or so priced players at each position (around 30 FP, $12,000-$16,000).
GPP
Greg Monroe (12.3%) has stepped up his game of late as he is averaging 32.25 fantasy points over his last three games and the Heat have allowed opposing power forwards to average over 22 points per game over their last eight games.
DU
Deron Williams (12.6%) is back starting and is facing a 76ers team that are allowing the most points per game to opponents on the season (if you have not already heard mention here once or twice before).
C-as in players that COULD be in line to provide you with good to great value in the mid-tier price range (target 25+ FP, $8,000-$12,000).
GPP
Luol Deng (11.2%) for more on Deng check out today's Daily Dribble article.
DU
Paul Pierce (11%) is in play for the same reasons as Deron Williams and the fact Joe Johnson has been ruled out with a sore knee.
D-Discounted Dandies: Players on the cheap whose production may exceed what their discounted price tag suggests. (Double Digit Fantasy Production, $3,500-$8,000).
GPP
Jae Crowder (7.5%) looks as if he will start again as Shawn Marion is expected to miss tonight's game. Crowder put up almost 20 fantasy points in his last start in place of Marion and the matchup tonight is favorable.
DU
Nick Calathes (6%) if you read our Daily Dribble article you would have already benefited from using Calathes in your DFS lineups, but if not I am sure you and the majority of owners in the know will roster him tonight after he dropped a career high 22 points in his first start for the injured Mike Conley who is expected to be out at least a week.
Best of Luck tonight and don’t be afraid to go rouge and post your questions in the comments section and/or send me a tweet @FantasyNomad. Also, be sure to check out this morning's Daily Dribble for more DFS insight.
