It seems like every week brings something new at DraftEasy, and this week we have an over/under contest for every game in Friday’s nine-game slate. This is the perfect way to add a little excitement to whatever game you happen to be watching.  This week we will make picks for the two nationally televised games: Pelicans at Cavaliers and Clippers at Trail Blazers. We won both of our Over/Under contests last week, including 3/3 picks in the Early slate. If you played those picks in the Over/Under MAX, you could have won 5x your money. Let’s try to keep it going with two more games this week.

NOP @ CLE

Anthony Davis 30.5 Points: OVER

Davis is averaging 30.0 points per game over the last two weeks, and he has gone over 30.5 points in five of his last 10 games. Rajon Rondo has missed three games this month, and Davis has gone over 30.5 points in one of those games. Rondo will be a game-time decision with a wrist injury, but he probably won’t affect Davis’s scoring a whole lot. The Cavaliers rank 22nd in opponent’s points per game and 28th in defensive rating in March. In his only game against the Cavs this year, Davis scored 30 points, but that was all the way back in October, when DeMarcus Cousins was healthy.

LeBron James 9.5 Rebounds: OVER

LeBron has gone over 9.5 rebounds in eight of his last 11 games, including each of the last six games games Kevin Love has missed. Love sat out Wednesday with a concussion, and if he is out again Friday, this is an easy call. The Pelicans rank 16th in the NBA in rebounding rate in March, which isn’t nearly enough to talk me into the under.

Jrue Holiday 2.5 STL+BS: UNDER

Holiday is averaging 2.5 steals+blocks over the last two weeks, but he has gone under that number in five consecutive games. The Cavs rank third in opponent’s steals and fourth in opponent’s blocks per game in March. Holiday is probably due to go over, but this isn’t the matchup to do it.

Lou Williams 26.5 Points: UNDER

Portland’s defense has been good all season long, and they rank sixth in opponent’s points this month. With that in mind, this line seems awfully high. Williams is averaging 19.8 points per game over the last two weeks, and he has gone over 26.5 points just twice over his last 12 games. Of course, one of those games came against the Trail Blazers. That being said, he is averaging 21.0 points in three games against Portland this season, and we will hope that trend lasts one more game.

Austin Rivers 5.5 AST: UNDER

At first blush, this number seems awfully high. Rivers is a strong source of scoring, but he rarely contributes in other categories. His recent numbers bear that out. He is averaging 3.9 assists per game over the the last two weeks, but he has gone over 4.0 assists just twice in his last nine games. That being said, Rivers had eight assists Wednesday with Milos Teodosic out. Teodosic has been ruled out for Friday, so Rivers should assume point guard duties once again. That being said, Wednesday’s game was against the lowly Suns, and only the Jazz have allowed fewer assists than the Trail Blazers over the last month. Even when Rivers plays with the ball in his hands, he tends to shoot more than he passes, and that’s what I’m counting on.

Jusuf Nurkic 2.5 STL+BS: OVER

Jusuf Nurkic has had at least three blocks in four of his last six games, including four blocks against the Clippers two weeks ago. That doesn’t even include the 1.8 steals he is averaging over the last week. Only the Suns have allowed more opponent’s blocks or opponent’s steals than the Clippers over the last month.
