Welcome to another edition of the DFS playbook. Tonight is another great to play some daily hoops with seven games on the slate. James Harden is clearly the top option tonight, and there are enough value options to be able to fit him in GPP lineups.
The point guard position is filled with solid mid-tier options in Jordan Clarkson, Trey Burke, and even Jeff Teague. Clarkson gets a small boost in value if Jeremy Lin doesn't play. Kemba Walker is the best option at the position as his floor is 30 fantasy points with a ceiling of 40-plus fantasy points. Greivis Vasquez is a good punt play with Kyle Lowry out. The same thing could be said about Lorenzo Brown, who has exceeded value in four straight games and put up 30 fantasy points vs the Jazz last week.
Besides James Harden, the shooting guard is nothing special tonight. DeMar DeRozan is a good cash game on Fanduel, but his price tag is too expensive on DraftKings. Eric Bledsoe has a fantastic matchup, is playing heavy minutes, and isn't crazy expensive, but he just hasn't been that good recently, which makes him a decent contrarian GPP option. Corey Brewer and/or Gerald Henderson is the way to go on DraftKings, but both players are small forwards on Fanduel.
Speaking of small forwards, Rudy Gay is clearly the best option at the position as he faces his former team, Memphis, and will get a heavy dose of shot attempts with DeMarcus Cousins out. Josh Smith is another great option as he has put up some big numbers with Donatas Motiejunas out. The power forward position is led by LaMarcus Aldridge, who has a stellar matchup and should produce 40-plus fantasy points. Marcus Morris is another great option as he continues to have a low price tag despite putting up huge fantasy numbers recently. Reggie Evans is purely a gut call as he loves to battle with Zach Randolph and will see an increase in minutes with DeMarcus Cousins out. Nerlens Noel is a perfect GPP option as he has a high ceiling, but does have a high price tag.
The center position has a couple of good options as Rudy Gobert is going to have a monster game vs the weak Minnesota front court, while Jonas Valanciunas is a safe cash game play. With no DeMarcus Cousins for the Kings, Marc Gasol should thrive for the Grizzlies, which makes him a safe cash game option. Justin Hamilton becomes a superb value option with Gorgui Dieng and Nikola Pekovic out.
