Happy New Years Eve! The Playbook had a bad night on DraftKings last night, but was able to cash in double-ups and even some triple-ups despite only scoring 249 points on Fanduel. It was just one of those nights where a lot of the popular plays didn't pan out, which led to low scores across the industry. Unfortunately, it doesn't get much better tonight as there are only five games on the slate for tonight's action (only four games on DraftKings).

The point guard position is worth spending up on tonight because there are a lot of good options at the position. Kyrie Irving becomes a must-start on Fanduel if LeBron James sits out. Not a fan of James Harden tonight because his price tag is extremely high and I'd rather spend that money on another stud player. There are a couple of great value plays, but Eric Bledsoe will be in a majority of my lineups on Fanduel. Meanwhile, the small forward is a joke as most of the higher tier players are questionable to play. Kevin Durant wasn't able to reach value when he was healthy, so there's no reason to pay up for him tonight. Save money by going the cheap route at small forward.

Pay up for Anthony Davis because he has dominated the Spurs this season and has the best chance to finish as the top fantasy point producer. There are some quality value plays at the position as well. The center position is tough to figure out as Dwight Howard should have a monster game, but this game could get out of hand fast. The same thing can be said about DeAndre Jordan. Cole Aldrich is the biggest question mark on the night, but he's a solid play if he starts. A lot of people will be on Bismack Biyombo tonight, but he just isn't that good and he'll only reach value because of garbage time points. Play him at your own risk
