Jaime Jaquez. Chalkboard NBA Pick: Higher 22.5 Points + Rebounds
Jaquez has been the Bucks' most reliable all-around contributor through the first week. He's averaging 20.7 points and 8.7 rebounds on 61.1% shooting, and he's posted at least 29 points plus rebounds in all three games, including 19 points and 11 rebounds against Chicago.
He set career highs last season in Miami with 15.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, and his role is larger in Milwaukee as a primary option next to Tyler Herro. The Pacers come to town as 4.5-point favorites with a 239.5 total, giving Jaquez a fast, high-possession game to work with. Jaquez at Higher 22.5 points plus rebounds leads our Chalkboard NBA picks and is one of the best NBA picks today.
Jalen Smith Chalkboard NBA Pick: Higher 10.5 Points
Smith has made the most of his chance to start. With Nic Claxton still sidelined by a hamstring injury, he has scored 15, 14 and 14 points in Chicago's first three games while playing no more than 24 minutes.
He averaged 10.2 points in 20.7 minutes last season, so he doesn't need a big workload to clear this number. Boston is a 13.5-point favorite, which brings some blowout risk, but Smith scored 15 points in 19 minutes in Chicago's lopsided loss in Toronto. Smith at Higher 10.5 points rounds out our Chalkboard NBA picks.
