Sunday's NBA slate opens with Bulls vs. Sixers at 3:30 p.m. ET and closes with Pelicans vs. Clippers at 9 p.m., and our NBA best bets include a team total, a side, and a full card of player props.
Brooklyn is the only team playing a back-to-back, and the injury reports look fairly clean aside from a questionable tag for Luka Doncic. There are a few wide spreads, but we can work around that with our NBA picks today. New to Rebet Sportsbook? NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 11/8
Our NBA best bets for Sunday are Sixers over 126.5 and the Mavericks -7.5 against Brooklyn. On the prop side, we're featuring Darius Acuff Over 30.5 points plus assists and Tyrese Maxey Over 24.5 points, with more player props listed below. Shop around before you bet.
76ers vs. Bulls Prediction: Sunday, 11/8
- Pick: 76ers Team Total Over 123.5
Philadelphia comes in with an 8-2 record and has already scored 126 points against Chicago in their November 2nd meeting. The Bulls have struggled defensively, allowing 129.6 points per game, while playing at the league's fastest pace.
Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Jaylen Brown give the 76ers three reliable scoring options, while their supporting cast can exploit Chicago's defensive breakdowns. Philadelphia has the offensive talent to reach the mid-120s, especially if the game stays competitive long enough for its starters to play their normal minutes.
Philadelphia is coming off a disappointing 24-point loss to Cleveland, and should be motivated to bounce back.
Nets vs. Mavericks Prediction: Sunday, 11/8
- Pick: Mavericks -7.5
Dallas has the advantage at home against a Brooklyn team playing the second night of a back-to-back, which could create a significant fatigue disadvantage for the Nets. The Mavericks have been more consistent recently, winning three of their last five games, while Brooklyn has struggled to find its rhythm at just 2-7. Two of those games were impressive home wins over Houston and Oklahoma City.
Cooper Flagg has been a major contributor offensively, averaging 24.3 points and 6.3 assists, giving Dallas a reliable scoring option. Kyrie Irving is healthy and back to playing his full complement of minutes.
Brooklyn will be without rookie Mikel Brown, who has not yet been cleared to play back-to-backs, and they could still choose to rest other players after last night's game in Atlanta.
Dallas has the talent and rest advantage, which should help them cover the spread at home on Sunday.
Best NBA Prop Bets & Other Picks Today, 11/8
Darius Acuff Over 30.5 Points + Assists
Acuff is averaging 25.2 points and 7.1 assists per game, combining for 32.3 points and assists per night. He has cleared 30.5 in five of his last nine games, including a 34-point-plus-assist performance against the Lakers and 43 against Memphis. He's also averaging 36.8 minutes per game, giving him plenty of opportunity to generate offense either through scoring or creating shots for teammates.
Miami is playing at the league's third-fastest pace while ranking just 26th in defensive rating. They have allowed the third-most points and the most assists per game this season. It is one of the best possible matchups for Acuff.
The rookie lead guard is also virtually blowout-proof. He generally plays significant minutes even when the score is lopsided, so we don't need to be concerned about the large spread. With Acuff carrying a 32.4% usage rate and significant playmaking responsibility, the over 30.5 is a reasonable value opportunity in this up-tempo game environment.
Tyrese Maxey Over 24.5 Points
Maxey is averaging 26.9 points per game this season while playing 36.5 minutes per night, giving him a solid scoring floor and consistent offensive opportunity. The lead guard has gone under this number in each of the last two games, but he shot just 32.3% from the field in those contests. He has scored at least 26 points in every other game this season. With improved efficiency, he should be able to get back on track.
The matchup is especially appealing because Chicago has struggled defensively, allowing 129.6 points per game, the worst mark in the NBA. They also play at the league's fastest pace, which should give Maxey more possessions to rack up points.
Maxey also scored 26 points against Chicago in their November 2nd meeting, showing he can take advantage of this matchup. With his ability to score at all three levels, create in transition, and get to the free-throw line, he has multiple ways to get past 24.5.
More player props we like on Saturday's slate:
- Jayson Tatum Over 6.5 Assists: Tatum is averaging 8.0 assists per game and has cleared 6.5 in all but one contest. He faces a Milwaukee team that plays at the fourth-fastest pace and allows the fifth-most assists.
- Davion Mitchell Over 7.5 Assists: Mitchell is averaging approximately 8.2 assists per game this season and has cleared the 7.5 line in six of his last nine games. Sacramento plays at the sixth-fastest pace and allows the seventh-most assists.
