What a fantastic Friday night of NBA basketball. The Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets had a bag of mixed results. OG Anunoby had two rebounds in the first three minutes of the game, then proceeded to hang around the perimeter of the court for the remainder of the game. Due to this fact, Anunoby is the first person on our do not “2025-26 do not bet list”.

The Portland Trail Blazers had their best game of the decade, with a complete beatdown of the Golden State Warriors. Just as this article predicted. It’s the weekend now and the first Saturday for this column. Some sportsbooks will offer special offers simply because there is more volume of bets. As always, take advantage of single bet boost, and apply it to our NBA best bets

Charlotte Hornets vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction: Saturday 10/25

Game Time: 7:30 p.m. ET | TV: Local | Location: Xfinity Mobile Arena | Odds: 76ers -6.0 | O/U 231.5

Prediction: 76ers Moneyline (-200 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Philadelphia 76ers appear to have the steal of the draft in VJ Edgecombe. The youngster played 42 minutes, scored 26 points, and earned seven rebounds in his first NBA game. Quite the introduction. Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey combine for what could be the most lethal backcourt in the Eastern Conference. Paired with Quentin Grimes, it is a triplet of guards that will cause issues for opposing teams.

Or, are we getting ahead of ourselves about a rookie who had an excellent game? Possibly. Either way, the 76ers have their home opener against what appears to be an improved Charlotte Hornets team. They currently have the best point differential in the NBA at +19. However, that was against the Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia has a better roster.

The 76ers' six-point spread is tempting, but perhaps the Hornets' defense is improved. Maybe their scoring wasn’t a fluke. Either way, the moneyline at -200 is still the best bet of this match. Put a unit on it.

Chicago Bulls vs Orlando Magic Prediction: Saturday, 10/25

Game Time: 7:00 p.m. ET | TV: Local | Location: Kia Center | Odds: Magic -6  | O/U 232.5

Prediction: Josh Giddey Under 20.5 Points (-132 FanDuel Sportsbook)

Last night, the Orlando Magic lost to their division rival, the Atlanta Hawks 111-107; a game in which the Hawks outscored the Magic in the fourth quarter 33-17. Only one Atlanta player scored over 19 points, Trae Young. The Magic still have a great defense, and after letting a victory slip away, they look to rebound on their home court. Even on the second of back-to-back games, expect four quarters of great defense.

The Chicago Bulls are 1-0 this season, and have several play makers. Nikola Vucevic looked great, Matas Buzelis continues to get better and be heavily involved. Josh Giddey proved he is capable of doing it all, including becoming a true facilitator. He had 11 assists against the Detroit Pistons, and earned a double-double with 19 points.

With Coby White still unable to play, Giddey will continue to be a point guard; a pass first point guard too. The Bulls offensive strategy is attacking with their front court in a spread-five. This allows Giddey to have more space and vision for passes. It led to success, and that paired with Orlando’s defense makes it unlikely Giddey gets to 20 points. Put a unit on the under at the Kia Center.

NBA Straight Bets & Prop Bets Today, 10/25

Aaron Gordon Over 1.5 Threes Made (-147 on DraftKings Sportsbook) 2U

Aaron Gordon’s Thursday performance is one of the greatest in the illustrious history of the NBA. A 50-burger. Five Zero. No tree, just fiddy’ (South Park reference). Fifty points in an opening game. He joins Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, Kyrie Irving, and Anthony Davis as players to accomplish this feat. They are or will be Hall of Fame members. Meanwhile Gordon has not been a member of an All-Star team.

He earned 30 of those 50 points from behind the arc. Today his three point line is set at 1.5, with odds of -147. It is tempting to tease it up, but leave it as is. Gordon began attempting several threes last year, and his efficiency seems to have improved this year. Put two units on Gordon to make two three-pointers.

Indiana Pacers -3.5 (+110 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Indiana Pacers are on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies today. Memphis got crushed by the Miami Heat last night, and now they play against the Indiana Pacers. Indiana didn’t look like they lost a step with an injured backcourt, and should continue to play well.

The line has been teased up due to the fact they could win by as much as Miami. But it has only been teased up one point to give this NBA best bet plus odds. Put a unit on the Pacers to cover a slightly teased up spread.
